Great unit. Great price.
The M2 slays. I used to ride motorcycles so it’s nice to see a round dial. It quickly links to the satellite. I’m surprised how accurate this is. If I’m moving the bike around my house with the unit on, it updates the speedometer, even if I just move the bike across the room. The app is integral and easy to use. Carry the manual with you until you remember what buttons to press to record, stop and store.

really cool computer
i like the readability its easy to see and this one you can set the odometer it has a c8 option for it i find this interesting as its advertised as not having the ability but mine has it which is cool the one issue i have is the temp gauge is inaccurate constantly reading temps between 87 and 95 degrees i even tried calibrating it by putting it in the fridge which brought the temp down to 44 then it rose slowly back up and again stopped at 87 degrees at the time of calibration outside temp was 76 my theory is it is being thrown off by battey temp overall this is very accurate with speed and odometer readings the temp is not that big of a deal but it would be nice if it worked i just received this today so if anything goes wrong ill update my review update the temp gauge finaly started working correctly i took awhile but it reads correct now everything is working really good i am happy with this computer so far and this is the white one which you also set the odometer it is c8 in options

Comparison of M2 and M3
After six months of happy experience with the small square CYCPLUS G1, I decided to move up and also use heart and cadence sensors. I bought both the round M2 and the rectangular M3 to try whichever fits my needs better. SETUP: The M2 can only be set up using its four buttons and the on-sceen menus. An owner of an M3 can choose between this on-device option or use the CYCPLUS FIT cellphone app to configure the device. I found both methods straightforward and easy. The only advantage of the app was that it also had an option to sync the time zone setting with the cellphone. I didn't even know that I lived in time zone -10. DISPLAY SCREENS: I do ocean paddling in an OC-1 (one person outrigger canoe) in Hawaii. The ocean has, obviously, unobtructed skies, and most of the time I paddle in sunshine or otherwise very bright natural lighting. There are almost always saltwater droplets on the screens and, with time, some crystallized salt deposits build up here and there. The computers are place near my feet just above the steering pedals about 4 feet from my eyes. I am not wiping the screens as they are not easy to reah and my hands ae busy paddling. The large speed numbers are always easy to see but the smaller numbers are more challenging. In sunlight conditions and wearing sunglasses, the black numbers on the white screen of the M3 have more contrast and are easier to read than the white numbers on the black screen of the M2. In addition, the small numbers of the M2 are so small that I cannot read them from a distance of 4 feet. I will try to mount the M2 closer to my eyes onto the cuff of my leash just above my knee, 18" from my eyes. I will update this review with my experience. I have one comment regarding the display of the M3. The numbers in the four customizable fields are only half as high as what the available space would allow. It would be good to have an option to see full-size numbers in those fields. THE APP AND THE GPS RECEPTION: The cellphone app cannot be used to set up the M2 but can be used equally for both models to download and analyse the collected data. I enclose a photo of the overview screens of the data collected by both models sitting side by side during an approx 7-mile trip off Hawaii Island. Both measured almost the same distances and heart rates. But surprisingly, the average speeds and paddled times are VERY different. 4.7 vs 6.4 MPH and 1:30 vs 1:09 paddled times. One must be awfully wrong, but which one? On the more detailed speed charts the horizontal dotted line is the average speed. We see that on the M3 chart this is way above all other speeds. The average speed is larger than the maximum speed. This is wrong. The reason is that during the trip, the M3 often lost the GPS signal for periods between half a minute to a few minutes. Then it reestablished the connection without any intervention and went on funtioning fine. During the off-signal periods the indicated speed dropped to zero and periods with zero speed are not counted into the paddling time. As the data show, the M3 was off the signal for almost a third of a 90 minutes trip. The device is defective and will have to go back to Amazon for a refund. I didn't have this problem with the G1 or the M2 and I plan to try a new M3 after I got my refund. I am not gambling on dealing with CYCPLUS customer service as they didn't reply to an earlier email about another issue. UPDATE (3/20/2026):I was told that the likely reason for the M3 to lose GPS connection is that this particular device was intended for the domestic market and set for the BEIDOU positioning system. Some similarly priced bike computers from other manufacturers allow users to choose between various positioning systems but not this one. My intended return for refund hit an obstacle. USPS in Hawaii is not accepting the GROUND / HAZMAT shipping label sent by Amazon. I cannot find any ways to communicate this to Amazon and ask for a USPS compliant label.

At $40 it (along with a Fitbit sense) meets my needs
Beats using a phone that could end up smashed. This has a large Speed display but small not well backlit or marked other readouts like odometer and elapsed time. The side buttons are hard to operate while riding. Like other reviews the GPS read .4 mile off on a 25 mile ride as compared to Fitbit and Nike Run app. Possibly GPS sampling rate error perhaps as some other units cut corners instead of smooth multiple points around corners. Speed seems accurate and a match to the radar sign speed readout around our school zones.. Battery life is good so far and have paired it to the app. easily. Not a fan of all the maximum and average data it supplies.. With only 4 buttons it gets confusing while riding. The unit was marked down 20% so I considered it a good value.

Great options and accuracy for the price
This is a all a round great bike computer. It lasts a long time on a single charge. Did a 309 mile ride in the month of August for the American Cancer Society and never had to charge it. Great GPS accuracy and mileage.

Great buy for Rider who wants to know basic stats.
I have not had any problems with this. Does everything I need it to. It is not a Garmin but I did not pay that kind of money. Looks great on bike. Instructions are handy. Sync with strava and the app that is used with is it nice to. Update. I've had it now for about a year and it started to stop keeping time and distance well It became locked up around the 12 minute mark and 3 to 4 miles Which totally affects the app it'll run for a while and seem to do well and then not record the ride accurate.

Decent replacement for carrying phone
Not sure if I would recommend this computer. At best I would say it’s an affordable alternative to using an app on a phone. It’s easy to install and if you can work an iPhone you can configure it. However, GPS is sporadic at best, data seems to have massive discrepancies on same routine route. For example I ride the same 13ish mile route everyday on my lunch break. Some days the device registers 11.x other days 12.x. Today it was an entire mile off the same route I took yesterday. Regardless if you are looking for a precise measurement I would not recommend this computer. If you just want an idea of your speed and distance, and some measurements of elevation and such, as long as your patient it will at least do that. ***note*** this one will not calculate calories burnt. I was a little disappointed about that.

Accurate as hell
I got this for my RC cars/trucks to know what they are running in speed runs and got the results of them and made sure it was an accurate reading and used my car's speedometer to test this one and it's on the nose of the same speed, also having the app makes it better to see the results, easy to use and easy to setup and I'll make sure to get another one if my car speedometer has stopped working, awesome product for bicycle, radio control or anything else

No compren
No me sirve.

Good quality product with limitation
The M2 version has a unique round dial with large text, especially speed which is large and easy to read in direct sunshine, But in the shade is barely readable at times, poor contrast. It pairs with sensors and GPS signal quickly, performs as described and has features good for my needs. There is some changes like the orange line around the face is now white and side buttons hard plastic not rubberized like the older versions and the big one and reason for 3 stars is the display, if the M2 had the standard white background display like the M1 and other cheaper computers it would of got 5 stars
