Great tool for the price
I’ve been using the TOPDON Carpal OBD2 Scanner (Bluetooth) and I’m honestly impressed. It’s super easy to scan your car, clear error codes, and even send detailed reports straight from your phone. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. It gives you a lot of information without having to go to a shop just to find out why a light is on. I did run into an issue when trying to scan my Subaru Forester, but it worked perfectly with my Ford Mustang. It connected quickly and cleared codes without any problems. Overall, it’s a great tool to have if you like handling basic diagnostics yourself. Highly recommended.

Powerful Inexpensive Tool
This Carpal device has a lot of features that others do not. I own several of these OBD devices and this one works well. It has several features that are handy. It can scan all systems for codes. It allows the user to select a vehicle which is nice because then it can provide the correct code descriptions. It has a built in battery test that monitors battery voltage through the DLC. This is a neat quick little test, however it is not a replacement for a professional battery starting charging test. The tool also has some performance meters to track vehicle acceleration and 0-60 times etc. Setup was quick and easy. Download the program, connect the tool through Bluetooth and then finish account setup and it is ready to go. This is not a replacement for a professional level scan tool but it is a handy little device that will pull all codes from all systems, clear all codes, scan engine data and provide OBD emission test results. Easy to setup, easy to navigate and nice clean data screens make it a good tool. It’s a lot of tool for a little money.

Pretty much amazing.
Pretty much replaces every other OBD2 in my life and I would get this one again. Lovely to be able to start the car and watch how the battery reacts discharging and charging in a graph. And has all the things like resetting parking brakes.

Just an overall outstanding product. Fully exceeds expectations.

Portable, easy to use device with helpful app- definitely worth having!
OBD2 Scanner Review – A Game Changer for Understanding My Car! I recently purchased the OBD2 Scanner, and I have to say, it's been a game changer for me in terms of understanding my car and taking better care of it. Right off the bat, the first thing that impressed me was how portable and compact this little device is. It easily fits into my glove compartment or even my pocket, so I can carry it with me without any hassle. This makes it perfect for on-the-go diagnostics, whether you're traveling or just running errands around town. Portability and Design: The compact size of this OBD2 scanner is one of its standout features. It’s lightweight and doesn’t require any complicated wiring. You simply plug it into your car’s OBD2 port, and it’s ready to go. I’ve used it several times now, and it’s always quick and easy to connect. The plug-and-play nature of this scanner is really convenient, and since it's wireless, you don’t have to deal with a tangled mess of cords. It's truly one of the most portable diagnostic tools I've ever come across. Ease of Use – The App: What really takes this scanner to the next level is the accompanying app. The setup process was incredibly straightforward. I downloaded the app, connected my phone to the scanner via Bluetooth, and within minutes I was ready to start diagnosing my car. The app interface is user-friendly, even for someone like me who isn’t particularly tech-savvy. The instructions are clear, and the various features are well-organized, making it easy to navigate. Through the app, I was able to get real-time data about my car’s performance, from engine RPMs to temperature levels. The best part? The app provides diagnostic codes and an explanation for each one, which I found incredibly helpful. No more cryptic codes that leave you scratching your head! Instead, I was able to get clear descriptions of any issues my car might be having. The app also offers troubleshooting suggestions, which really helped me understand my car’s maintenance needs better. Helpful Information about My Car: I’ve learned a lot about my car using this device. I used to feel a bit clueless when it came to understanding what was going on under the hood, but now I feel much more confident. One instance that stands out is when my check engine light came on. I plugged in the OBD2 scanner, and it quickly gave me a diagnostic code along with an explanation. Armed with that information, I knew exactly what the problem was before I even took the car to the mechanic. The mechanic confirmed the issue, and because I was already informed, the whole process was smoother and more efficient. This scanner has also helped me keep track of my car's health over time. I now monitor different aspects of my car’s performance, which has allowed me to be more proactive about maintenance. Whether it’s tire pressure, battery voltage, or fuel efficiency, the OBD2 scanner gives me valuable insights that help me take better care of my vehicle. Relay Codes to Mechanic: One of the best features of this device is that it provides diagnostic codes that are easy to relay to a mechanic. In fact, I recently had an issue where the scanner flagged a problem with the oxygen sensor. I shared the exact diagnostic code with my mechanic, and he was impressed by how precise the information was. It saved time and ensured that the mechanic knew exactly what to check for, avoiding unnecessary guesswork. Overall Verdict: The OBD2 Scanner has been an invaluable tool for me. It's portable, easy to use, and packed with useful features that have helped me better understand my car and take control of its maintenance. The app is intuitive and makes it simple to diagnose issues, even if you're not a car expert. Plus, the ability to relay specific codes to my mechanic has made servicing my vehicle much more efficient. If you’re someone who wants to stay on top of your car’s performance, avoid unnecessary repairs, or just understand more about how your car works, I highly recommend giving this OBD2 Scanner a try. It’s worth every penny!

Great price
Great price great scanner perfect to keep in the car or to use at work connects to the car fast scans all the computers in the car. It's very easy to download the app and set it up Nice features as in you can view live data, read codes, erase codes. Lots of other functions for maintenance, epb full release ,able to read tire pressure sensors , able to reset maintenance lights You can also check the battery voltage before starting and after starting Put the vehicle in inspection mode to check monitors You can even see if the vehicle has any manufacturers service bulletins Says it's able to do calibrations but haven't need to use the function yet to see what calibrations it's capable of but so far I would recommend this scanner

Inaccurate and Misleading Claims
This scanner gives completely false readings. While it does clear codes, the actual data it reports is not accurate. The biggest red flag: the odometer reading is off by 100–250 miles, which should be impossible for a device that plugs directly into the vehicle’s computer. That alone makes the data unreliable. The listing also claims live data and full system diagnostics, but that’s not true. It does not show real live readings as advertised—only limited items like pressure values. It does not detect real problems, and it absolutely does not scan the entire truck’s computer systems the way the product description states. Overall, the features are overstated, the diagnostics are incomplete, and the readings cannot be trusted. I would not rely on this tool for real vehicle diagnostics.

If you like to know what is going on with your car then I'd recommend the TOPDON CarPal! The device plugs into your car's DLC (data link connector) port and then connects via BlueTooth to your Apple or Android device via Bluetooth. You will also need to download CarPal software from the app store (no extra charge). When plugged into my 2018 BMW, the app was able to read the VIN code of the car and I could then perform a full scan of the electronic modules to find DTC (diagnostic trouble codes) data. You can read about any errors found and there's a technical library which gives suggested fixes. DTCs can also be reset, but obviously they will return if the fault is not repaired! There's also a host of other information such as searchable Technical Service Bulletins and a section that allows the reset of service items such as battery and oil etc. I was impressed with the volume of information provided, both from the car and from the app itself and for the price, I'd say it represents great value. If you are considering purchase, perhaps download the CarPal app first and take a look! When you connect to your car, it does mention you can have 3 brands (cars) set up in the app. I'm not sure if these could be deleted if you changed vehicle. The is also something called FCA SGW - a secure gateway (firewall) used on Fiat Chrysler group vehicles which restricts 2017-onwards models from connecting to 3rd party OBD2 scanners. Just be aware of this if you own one of these vehicles.

I think this is a great little scan tool. Yes it requires a subscription after the first year but it let's me check everything, all car systems. I've used it on 3 different cars, checking transmission, abs, ecm/pcm.

An ODB reader is a great little gadget to have at home. If your car throws up any warning lights or error codes you can scan the car yourself and work out what the issue may be. This job itself most dealers charge you a good amount of money to do even before any works required are done. Having the ability to read these yourself and maybe even fix some simple faults without the need to visit a garage can save you a big bill. The device slots into the car OBD port without issue and connects automatically. The reader is compatible with various iOS and Android apps so simply pick the most suitable one/one you prefer the most and away you go, the app now being able to scan and download data from your car to your smartphone and allowing you to self diagnose any issues or warning lights. At £49.99 (at the time of writing) this is a bit higher priced that some others but a garage would likely charge you double this or more just to plug your car into their diagnostic computer. Highly recommend piece of home car maintenance equipment.

Previously, I used an OBD2 scanner which only showed me codes and how to clear them. When I saw the facilities that were available on this app, I did wonder if I could be more in control of the car when I'm trying to form a diagnosis and perhaps solving simple problems. The Bluetooth worked seamlessly, out-of-the-box and within a couple of minutes I was all set up and ready to go. I can still see how to clear codes quite easily, but now I wonder if I dare touch any of the other sets of information because I wouldn't want to cause any damage to the car that I could not resolve. I might use this before I take the vehicle for services and see how have reports compare. This is probably too advanced for my needs but it does provide a lot of useful information, most of which is way beyond my knowledge, so I'll be using this for basic decisions.
