Brew Rapid Brewer Portable Coffee Maker, Hot and Cold

What I love most about it is how effortlessly it fits into real life. It’s not trying to turn brewing into a ceremony or overwhelm you with variables, it just delivers consistently good coffee with very little fuss. When I want something clean, balanced, and repeatable, it does exactly that. The versatility is where it really shines. It handles different grind sizes well. Whether I’m experimenting with grind settings or just want a reliable brew without thinking too hard, it adapts without complaint. Build quality is solid and purposeful. Nothing feels gimmicky. The immersion-style brewing combined with fast drawdown gives you clarity without thinness a cup that’s full-flavoured but never muddy. It’s forgiving enough for learning, but capable enough that it doesn’t feel like a compromise. Cleaning is simplicity, knock out the puck, rinse and dry all parts and that’s it. Most importantly, it removes friction. It makes it easier to brew good coffee more often, and that’s the real win. For anyone who wants excellent results without unnecessary complexity, the OXO Rapid Brewer earns its place on the counter.

This is a great little coffee maker, think aeropress but even easier. I love my aeropress but I just use this OXO brewer now, it's easy, gives consistent results and I have to mention it again, easy. If you have any kind of grip or arm strength problems this one is again easier than the aeropress. None of that would matter if the coffee wasn't better but it is better and quicker. If I was starting getting into coffee again I would buy one of these and a grinder and call it a day for a long time.

Works fine - makes decent enough coffee if your grind size is right - a bit more limited than the aeropress in terms of brew options and I find it fiddlier to clean compared to the aeropress (pucks are not firm etc so cannot just use a knock box)

Simple to use, easily cleaned, looks sleak and professional and produces warm coffee from the boiling water, can take it with me wherever I go too which i like a lot.

As a long term fan of the Aeropress I have to admit that this comes pretty close and may even surpass its older cousin. It is a slightly more complex system and a little more awkward to clean but compensates for this by making great quality coffee. Gotta admit that I’m a convert and can recommend that you try it out even if you are a dyed-in-the-wool Aeropress geek.

I was a bit sceptical about this but after viewing a YouTube comparison video and £10 discount I decided to go ahead . The taste is remarkably different to using a cafetière- clean without any bitterness or too much acidity. The item is compact and will allow me to pack it for holidays. It is easy to clean . I did purchase some filters but not really required. Important to apply the tamp before adding water . Taste is wonderful and seems much stronger - love it !

If used correctly I find the OXO Rapid brewer makes a tasty cup of coffee (check out Lance on YT). Once you get used to it it's relatively easy to use and is easy to clean in my opinion.... So why only 3 stars? It has a design flaw which I suspect is why so many people are having issues with "leakage". The metal filter mesh on the bottom of the coffee basket is not only very thin and flexible, it's also set a few millimetres above the bottom of the outer body of the basket so that when you tamp the coffee down, it's able to flex downwards slightly which will inevitable put undue strain on the join, likely leading to leakage and eventually complete failure. Luckily I discovered this before mine got damaged. My solution was to find something flat and round that is similar in diameter to the visible area of filter mesh on the underside of the basket which it can be sat on when pressing down with the tamper. This prevents any pressure being exerted on the join between the mesh and plastic surround. It's a shame it has this weakness as it's otherwise well designed.

Makes great coffee! Works well. Would buy it again if I lost it. OXO makes good stuff.

Just received this today and I'm so pleased that I've bought it. I already have a Moka pot but am so lazy some days nd was looking for a quicker alternative! The design is simple yet sophisticated, all it took was two minutes and then some and my hot coffee was done! (Six minutes for cold, in case you're wondering) I feel that this would make a great gift to anyone and thus highly recommend it =)
