This is the only mandolin out of the several I've owned that I have actually used! Doesn't slide around, all the blades I would ever use, the safest/easiest to use hand guard ever, and the built-in bowl keeps veggies contained. Clean-up is a breeze, and all the pieces fit inside the bowl for compact storage. If you want a quality product that is worth your money, this is it. Highly recommend.

I decided to try to make homemade potato chips, and picked up this to slice the potatoes. It comes with six different blades, one of which is for a wavy finish. I used that for the chips and it worked extremely well. The slices were just the right size for chips, and they came out great. Being able to slice with this device is such a time saver. I couldn't imagine sitting there trying to slice potatoes or anything else for twenty, thirty minutes or more. Took me maybe two minutes for six or seven potatoes at most. You are dealing with a sharp blade so you still need to exercise care. Clean up was simple. Clean all except the blade as you would clean other dishes. Rinse the blade, use the included brush to remove any debris that may be caught under it, rinse again. Device is sturdy, durable. I've used it a few times since buying it, and I expect it to last for a while. Veey easy recommendation! Buy it, make your own chips or whatever you want today!

Amazing kitchen helper! I initially bought it for making au gratin potatoes. It was a breeze to slice them with a 2 mm attachment, and it was also very fast and almost effortless. Easy to clean, easy to dry, and doesn't require much storage space. Very neat, and I love the protector attachment to save me from injuries! I can see using other attachments too, especially since it's Lent time. I wasn't looking for it, but I'm glad I found it. I saw comments mentioning people not knowing how they lived without this little helper, and I agree.

this thing is pretty darned great, makes slicing potatoes and fruit for recipes so much more convienient, and all but removes the risk of cutting yourself. its pretty easy to clean, though be especially careful of the blades... the included cleaning brush helps but you still need to be as careful as any blade. its tough non-porous plastic so it should serve well for a long time unless you purposefully abuse it. cuts clean, quick and easy... though sometimes you have to pick up and reset your produce because it catches on the back of the blade insert... happens more with soft produce. i mostly use it for potatoes right now, but I'm going to be using it to make fruit deserts soon too. if it were ceramic or a totally nonporous non plastic material it'd be perfect, but it'd also be a lot more expensive, and less affordable, for what it is at its price its fabulous.

This Mandolin slicer is perfect. Or should I say perfectly sharp (see pic). It is compact, has great attachments and is as sharp as chefs tongue (see pic). Love the ease of use but please make sure you use the protector and read the directions - think there was skin in my potatoes. I highly recommend.

I just got this mandolin and so far I've used it twice. Fingers are intact and there has been no blood! Seriously, I got rid of one I had years ago because I couldn't use it without injury and I've been hesitant to get another for that reason. However, I frequently use an air fryer and I wanted to make veggie chips and such. I couldn't slice them thin enough. I decided to take a chance on this one. Pros: The top sits on a container that catches the food and keeps the blade sturdy. No slippage or trying to balance the blades. So far, the blades have been sharp and the resulting slices have been uniform. It comes with a brush to clear the blades safely when cleaning. The blades can be washed on the top shelf of the dishwasher. The piece that holds the vegetable and keeps ones fingers safe is fairly easy to hold. Handy storage for blades and all the parts fit into the container for easy storage. Cons: It is sometimes hard to get the veggies to stick to the nails that hold it. Also, the surface available on the hand protector is small and some veggies, such as potatoes, have to be cut in half to fit. I'm finding it hard to slip the blades back into their storage box. You have to get it just right and it can be hit or miss Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

Half of the blades are good. It’s a little bit of a battle with some shredding, you have to put some elbow grease into it. The slicing blades are good. The remainder not so good.
