Shift lever replacement
Works. Close to original for a '96 blazer but not exact. The shoulder offset it a little bit smaller. This causes the cable boot to squish against the arm in certain positions. I checked it multiple times, and it doesn't seem to have any real negative effect currently. I could see in the future that the boot on the shift cable will deform or tear due to the stress. But I figure even in that case, the shift arm and cable should continue to work fine. Happy with the purchase.

I had to modify the part
Even after installing this part, the selector cable was falling off of the 'nipple'. Our solution was to break off the nipple, drill out a hole and put a bolt thru the hole. We then were able to bolt the cable onto this part... like GM should have done in the first place.

DOES NOT FIT 2011 5.3 1500 SILVERADO.
Part was genuine. Had to take a chance on this part as it shipped fast, but the angle of the bolt slot is different than 2011 Silverado 5.3 6-speed and makes the shifter jam the cable if you install this wrong part with the notch in it. My truck needs the arm without the notch.
