Boeshield Blade and Bit , 8 ounce

I tried this at the recommendation of a woodworker's messageboard. I really didn't expect much. I am 100% sold, and it will never be missing from my shop in the future. It cleans my saw blades, drill bits, wood tools, and cnc and router bits like they're brand new, with a minimal amount of effort. A little patience letting it soak in, and a 50 cent brass wire brush make the big jobs simple. Bits can be cleaned with a rag and a short soak. It's been said that simple green, oven cleaner, and other things do the same kind of job. Simple Green does not. That orange goo, it doesn't get it, either. Why anyone would want to suck oven cleaner fumes is beyond me, but hey, to each his own. It's been said that oven cleaner can harm some tools and the price is pretty much the same, so why have to don gloves and breath fumes to do what Boeshield does comfortable and effortlessly? I don't generally write reviews as I don't believe in heaping words on mediocrity. Boeshield has earned my time by saving me time, misery and effort. It's my pleasure to share how well this solvent works. Before I go, I should mention that the bottle has a litte pump spray mister on it that actually works very well. There's a nice cap on the bottle that keeps the pump clean and fresh, not full of sawdust. It's the little things that count, ya know? :)

The Boeing company has researched and produces THE BEST cleaning chemical solutions that money can buy! Router bits get coated with a burnt on crust that insulates them, causing excessive heating which if not cleaned, will cause you bit to dull, prematurely! Spitz a small amount of Boeshiled cleaner onto your router bit and let it soak for a few minutes and that baked on crud simply wipes off with a rag. Cleaned, your bits will be sharper, longer and you routes will be much cleaner with less chip out!

Removes buildup from your blades helping them to cut cleaner and with less ejection obstruction from sap and dust. Good stuff a little pricey.

Boeshield was recommended to me by a fellow wood worker. It works well but it does take a little effort to get all the wood sap residue off of my router bits and saw blades.

Great product. Nice to have to clean router bits, saws, drill bits. Easy to use and convenient.

i had read a few reviews of some other products that remove pitch from blades and bits, and settled on this one as it seemed to get the most positive reviews. it works great. i had alot of pitch built up on my routher bits, i had never cleaned them before, only tried scraping it off with a small screw driver. i sprayed some on one bit, then let it soak in for about 5 minutes. on the bottle it says 30-60 seconds, but 5 minutes seems better, then i removed the pitch with a small brass brush and wiped off excess with a clean wrag, then sprayed it with some WD40 and wiped it clean, they look brand new. if your bits have a bearing on top, other websites recomend u remove that bearing before spraying it. but it breaks it down great. i had some pitch that was really caked on for years.

As woodworkers we know we want to be making stuff all the time. However, there are idle moments when we wonder what to do. Well, this is the time to clean your bits and blades. I have several carbide tipped router bits, and a couple of expensive Freud saw blades that tend to get gummy if I'm making projects from sappy or oily woods like pine or cedar. That gummy accumulation will have a negative effect on your bits/blades and needs to be removed. This product will do that for you. I was very pleased at how quickly it dissolved the brown build-up of resin on my bits. Cleaning the saw blades was even easier. I "borrowed" one of my wife's spare toothbrushes (the dentist gives them away) and used it to gently rub the resin off the teeth of the blade. This formula is reuseable too, so whatever you can collect in a jar or plastic sheet or even a ziplock bag can be poured back into the bottle. I was keen to see if this stuff could clean up some really old high-speed steel router bits that had burned on resin. It could, but it took a soaking for that old hardened stuff to come off. This is a product that lives up to its claims. I'll buy more as I need it.

Arrived as described and pictured, and well packaged. I may be using it for the wrong purpose, but it’s not really doing what it supposed to for me. Good delivery time
