## Description

Automated for easy, confident home canning, the Presto Precise® 17-quart digital canner features an innovative sensor that holds the exact processing temperature required for safe home canning with no adjustments necessary, even when pressure canning at high altitudes. Its extra-tall size holds quart jars for both pressure and boiling water canning. Use the digital interface to select the canning method and processing time. A built-in timer ensures accurate, reliable timing. LED display icons illuminate and guide you through each step of the canning method. The canner preheats the jars then holds them at the proper temperature until all jars are filled and ready for processing. To simplify the boiling water method, the temperature sensor detects the boiling point and automatically activates the canning process to safely can high-acid foods. The digital canner also holds heat inside, keeping your kitchen cooler while canning. When finished, the PFAS-free ceramic-coated pot is removable for easy cleaning. Included with the canner are a stainless steel canning rack, an instruction/recipe book that uses standard processing times in accordance with USDA guidelines, and an easy-to-reference quickstart guide. I know the basics but never tried as an adult because the thought of so many tools pushed me away. This digital canner is amazing! So easy to use. There is a great manual, but they also include a wonderful "quick start" guide that is laminated! Everything fits tight, the process is smooth. 100% success rate so far with jars sealing. It is a heavy machine, but it works well and I have zero complaints. Will definitely be used for years!

There is a great manual, but they also include a wonderful "quick start" guide that is laminated! Everything fits tight, the process is smooth. 100% success rate so far with jars sealing. It is a heavy machine, but it works well and I have zero complaints. Will definitely be used for years!

Game changer. Love the fact that it does two jobs in one Appliance. That pressure cans and also water bath. The 17 quarts holds only one jar less of each size then my stove top. A lot of little tips in order to get at work very well, so be sure to watch videos on how to use it. One is that the jar ring has to be tightened just a little bit more than finger tight. Hands down, a must have if you’re canning at scale. No guesswork, no worries stepping away and getting side tracked, no timers or forgetting what time you started. All digital, safeguards in place, worry free canning processes with this unit whether water bath or pressure canning. Quality product. I received quickly a week and a half ago and have already canned over 60 jars. Highly recommend if you have the money to spend. No question it will change the way you look at canning. Has a decent beep between each step that is easy to hear even with some background noise. It holds a nice amount of canning sized jars for each batch. The value is there for the cost if you can a lot, could not justify it for a once a year canner. Some of the safeguards in place may get annoying as the warming of the jars. Cannot skip this process if you are heating in another pot. However this will keep your jars warm at the proper temp while you prepare, a bit of a give and take for the other conveniences.
