Kitchen Devils S8603000 Control Vegetable Knife, 10 cm, Multi-Colour , Black

Well what can I say that has already been said by other reviewers. I've only been using this knife for a few days and already it's the first knife I grab out of the draw. It's razor sharp so I'm glad I haven't cut myself with it yet ! The knife is super lightweight, weighing just 43 grams, so yes the blade is thin but given the blade length, it is more than adequate for the the job. I think it's quite common to over engineer a product making it 10 times stronger than it needs to be. Environmentally that's a waste of resources. So far it's cut everything with ease, carrots, Parmesan cheese rind, potatoes and cooked/uncooked meats. I like the ergonomic design, it's comfortably in the hand and unlike some others when put down it can't lay with the blade up. At just £5.20 it would be good value if it lasted for just one year, however it's got a 15 year guarantee. So what's not to like.... I'm won over by what is essentially an inexpensive item. My old vegetable knife broke and as Kitchen Devils are a trusted name I went for that. It’s the best knife I’ve had. It’s really sharp, has a comfortable grip and can be washed in the dishwasher. I think it was also good value and a great size. If they did a set in a block I’d buy them. I highly recommend this knife

They are sharp, light and feel nice in the hand. They are better than any other knives we have, lucky buy. I bought one and then ordered another because they are so sharp.

A good cheap sharp knife, the grip is comfortable but I'm used to heavier handle, ideal size for detailed work and I sharpen after every use, should last forever.

I think of all kitchen knives I've ever owned, this one lies best in the hand and seems to be just the perfect size and shape for most jobs. Very impressed! I'm not quite sure the steel is of as high a grade as some more expensive knives; it has lost some sharpness after a few months or possibly weeks' use, but having said that, even now, after many months (lost track how many but well over 6 months probably) it's still usable though struggling with tomatoes a bit, and I haven't bothered to sharpen it yet I think, so it can't be that bad. As I said, where design and ergonomics are concerned, I find it unbeatable, and considering the very reasonable price it deserves 5 stars.

I bought this after having used my parents one for quite some time, the devils knives are the best I have ever used and after buying multiple knife blocks over the years, I still prefer to use this one knife for most jobs. There are 2 ranges in the devils knife range, one with the silver round devil on the handle (I think these are the newer versions) - I don’t find these to be as good. The other are the older versions that have the grey base on the handle, these are the best quality I have used!

Very sharp, ideal for veg, fruit and general chopping, highly recommended!
