A Must-Have for Easy Subwoofer Integration
he SVS SoundPath Speaker Level Subwoofer Adapter is an excellent solution for integrating a subwoofer into my audio system without the need for a dedicated line-level output. Itās incredibly easy to useāsimply connect it between the speaker terminals of my amplifier and the subwoofer, and it works like a charm. The build quality is solid, with durable connectors and a well-made cable that ensures a reliable connection. The sound quality is fantastic, with deep, clean bass that integrates seamlessly with my speakers. Itās a perfect option for those without a dedicated subwoofer output on their receiver or amplifier. Overall, this adapter is a great, affordable way to get powerful, high-quality bass from your subwoofer without any hassle. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to enhance their home audio system!

One Soundpath works fine with dual subs ....
I have a pair of SVS PB12-NSD subs that compliment my Klispch RF7-II tower speakers. I needed a solution to get the best performance when driving this combo with a KT88 push/pull tube amp. The Soundpath adapter works very well. I simply run a parallel set of speaker wires from the amp to the Soundpath and then a pair of subwoofer RCA cables to each of the subs. One cable is "Left" out of Soundpath to "Left" IN line level on the left sub. The same goes for right side sub. The crossover for each sub is set to about 50Hz with gain at about 75%. The Klipsch go down to 30Hz so filling in the area between 30 and 50Hz using the Soundpath works extremely well after tweaking until everything is blended nicely together. Volume control between the subs and speakers is very linear, one does not dominate the other when using the volume control. The mixing seems perfect in my setup. So, I seemed to have solved my issue and very happy with the Soundpath. It's affordable and well constructed, no complaints.

No subwoofer - I had a different problem
I run my L/R speakers in a 7.1 system through an external amplifier and the AVR does not pass digital input. It was only after I connected everything did I find that the L/R speakers go silent with HDMI (move/TV) input. I attached this thing to the L/R speaker outs. I could have tried a cheaper, automotive style converter but after the time and hassle of this installation, I didnāt want to waste more time dealing with potential noise issues and this thing is quiet. Any perceptible signal degradation from using high level outs is IMHO impossible to detect in a movie context. Or any context. Some people slam these things for theoretical, audible differences, but numbers belie this. For the truly obsessive, hereās the RMS calculation from my adding this device: Rated distortion for the AVR and my PS Audio S300 power amp respectively are .08% and ā¤.02% totaling ā(d12 + d22)=.082% (that's SQRT(distortion 1 squared + distortion 2 squared), no superscript here), a difference you cannot hear as the threshold of IM distortion human audibility is generally considered to be .1%. This is simply a well made voltage divider. It adds no noise and solves a big problem very economically. I recommend it.

Works!
Works as advertised. Using this on a vintage Yamaha without a sub out and it does the job. Great solution by SVS!

Beyond impressed
Yes this unit is expensive compared to other offerings, but, I have had such bad luck with these types of devices that I decided to go with a reputable brand and spend more money. Iāve got an older amp that takes speaker level inputs and it stated buzzing, so I figured maybe if I changed the source I could get a few more miles out of the old girl. Anyway it mostly cleared up the buzz⦠still there but only audible if you put your ear on the woofer. And since it only add 0.5āish Ohmās it essentially freed up two channels so that I could run pair of RP-505S with my Klipsch floor speakers. This thing really changed the sound in my living room and I donāt regret spending the extra money at all.

This allowed me to use my sub with my Yamaha amp in Pure Direct mode after splicing the speaker signal in. (Pure Direct disables the amp sub output) It hasn't adversely affected the sound quality to the main speakers but now I also have great low bass from my SVS sub. Very happy!

Fantastic clean way to ad a subwoofer to a system when there is no sub out connection on your integrated amp or dac/preamp. Works well for subs that have line input capability.
