I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He is a beginner drone operator, and i wanted one that was easy to operate, and had features that would be helpful if needed. It has GPS, Follow Me, and Return to Home, which all have been helpful and fun to learn to use. The remote is easy to operate and has a holder for your phone while you use the app on it to operate the drone. The app was easy to download and set up. The camera takes pretty decent pictures day or night, and the videos are good quality as well. The gamble and shoot buttons are easy use and operate even for him! Which is a feat sometimes because of the limited use of some of his fingers. At this price point we didn't expect much, but we were highly impressed. The only downside to this model is the battery life. It boasts 20 mins per battery, and comes with 2 batteries, but the most we've gotten out of them is about 15 mins per battery. We bought an extra battery to have on hand to extend our flying time, which I recommend.

This WeFone WF30 drone is relatively easy to set up and operated but has a bevy of great sensors for the price. It has worked as described except for the flight time. I am getting more like 15 minutes of flight time per battery instead of the published 20 but I haven't used a drone yet that did not over promise flight time. The battery capacity is designed as 2200 mAh and I am only getting about 1600 mAh out of them. I think it might be the emergency return to home system that is cutting down the flight time and I don't think you can disable that. I love that it is foldable and comes with a nice carry case. If there were slots in the bag for extra batteries, I would buy them. This is a fun little drone!

I'm only giving it 4 stars because when the battery goes low and you ask it to return mine went straight up and wasn't able to be controlled. It landed in a tree and I was able to get it the next day. Tonight it did the same and I thought that I lost it because It disappeared..It finally re-appeared and I was able to get it back..it fought high winds. I honestly want another straight out of the box now that I know how they work. I definitely recommend for beginners to intermediate.. It's a really good drone but watch out for shifting winds and have a good signal. Very good price also.

Wow! I am usually VERY critical of Chinese products, especially when it comes to electronics like this. Never have I flown or owned a Drone before.. Until now! This purchase was for the Step-Father for Christmas, only to end up one for myself as well. Heh.. so between him and I, we learned a lot.. be warned though, these Drones have an OPEN WiFi signal, anyone nearby could connect to it. This is also how you get passed that annoying, "No TS Card detected" The card is optional and only if you want to take pictures or video and that goes on the Micro SD Card. Anyways.. I've crashed this Drone in a tree, into a wall and a cinder block wall.. its blades have scratches and its flying with no issues! My Step-Father had one crash so bad, sand got into three of the motors, causing the rotors to stop spending.. I turned it upside down, sprayed can air up in those, then gently spun the rotors till the sand crunch stopped.. and it's still flying! These things may look, feel, be made cheap.. but they seem to take a remarkable level of a beating. The only downside I can see to getting one of these is battery time and the potiential spy risk associated with Chinese products.

I bought the WF30. Everything was good. Batteries charged, drone calibrated, GPS and phone connect good, app and camera working, press the lock button to turn on, it beeps, but the motors don’t turn on. I’ve tried everything to get the motors to turn on, but they won’t. Very disappointed, since I brought this drone on a family vacation and I can’t use it. Really wished it worked. Have to return it.

I have several drones, all of them have a lot of flight time on them but are older technology, so to speak. This drone has the brushless motors and it just flies like a dream! The first thing that I noticed was how quick and easy it was to get set up with GPS and ready to fly compared to my others, which sometimes I had to go thru the process several times for everything to lock in, not with this drone! It was fairly windy today when I flew it and it was rock stable. I tested all the modes for proper function and flew it until the low battery alarm started beeping on the control and it returned home on it's own and landed at my feet. To say that this is a remarkable drone would be an understatement. If you decide to purchase this drone you will certainly be pleased with it's capabilities.

This drone is actually pretty sturdy, i crashed it into a tree m twice back to back and not even a scratch, it was a pretty windy day and it did better with the wind then I expected, it did decent at staying with in a few feet of where it was originally hovering, never got blown off course. The only somewhat negative thing was when I would take off from the back yard after planning my flight path, the video feed would freeze and basically skip that bit of recording until it got it’s connection back, this may be because I wasn’t very high and signal was probably blocked by my house. But it would return to home perfectly each time I pressed the button, so that’s some peace of mind.

Bought this drone for our youngest son but we all enjoy flying it. It’s was easy to setup and learn the controls. The return home feature is my favorite feature. That’s how we land it every time we fly it. It’s not as loud as I expected it to be, which is nice. The video quality is great. I didn’t pick the best day to get a video, it’s very windy, but I wanted to put a video with my review. The batteries don’t take too long to charge and are easy to put into the drone. The drone will go fast if you push the joysticks all the way, our youngest learned that quick. It was easy to connect to my phone and stayed connected the whole time. I did wreck it the first time I tried it, it hit hard, but didn’t take any damage. Definitely worth every penny!
