PRIMA TASTE Ready-to-Cook Sauce Kit for LAKSA

This is the best Laska kit and ready made paste you'll find outside of Malaysia. Hands down the best and most authentic flavour. I've tried a few (the Waitrose paste is 'nice enough', but is no-where near the right flavour and intensity of a decent Laska. This (sometimes hard to find) kit is a superb product. I simply add fresh chillies, coriander, spring onions and a medley of fish (prawns, squid, chunks of cod etc). Serve with a bowl of rice. Accept no substitutes (unless you find yourself in Southern Malaysia).

Very authentic tasting, and recommended to me by an old lady in Katong, Singapore. Best when you use fresh cockles and prawns (my local fishmonger stocks them, fortunately), and throw in some bean sprouts, rice noodles plus some tau pok. Actually, the first time I used one of these kits I made my own tau pok, but that was a hassle so subsequently I bought a packet of marinated tofu pieces (small) from the supermarket and they worked fine. Just follow the easy instructions inside the box to the letter and you'll be enjoying a decent laksa in no time.

It’s the best laksa but overpriced! Too expensive for 1packet.

Delicious and very quick and easy to cook.

It will never be like a proper home made laksa, but sourcing the ingredients is almost impossible in the UK - and it's definitely the next best thing. In our experience, all Prima Taste products are wonderful, especially the Rendang.

I had Laksa several years ago and loved it. I have tried several other sauces etc and have been disappointed, but this kit was superb. I will be buying more.

This pack is enough for about 4 servings, and it’s nothing other than 1 sachet of laksa powder, 1 sachet of coconut milk powder and 1 sachet of sambalak sauce. Overall it has a very fake taste, I would have expected to get a jar of curry sauce rather than powders...
