Quality product and quality results backed by quality service
First class product backed by first class customer support. I now have full coverage throughout my home in all areas after years of dropped and slow connections. Looks good, easy to install with the assistance of the instructions, U Tube videos and customer support. Tip - check with your ISP for any settings you may need to change before you start. Once installed ensure you enable IoT WiFi in the WiFi settings to get the best coverage for your smart devices and you are good to go. Lightening fast no dropped connections and no stress.

Good - but not great
I bought this to replace an old Orbi system (RBR50) which had finally failed - and whilst I'm broadly I'm happy with the upgrade, I have some thoughts.. Setup via the app (android) was a bit buggy with timeouts and errors. Worked in the end, but don't bother. UI virtually identical to my old system - good in that I quite liked it, but didn't spot anything exciting, aside from an ability to download and install firmware updates automatically. Not the snappiest interface, but has all the features you'd want. Performance and stability so far have been excellent - this is the important thing, and I can't fault it. Only has 2 ethernet jacks on the satellites - which feels like limitation only added to add a differentiator from the more expensive systems. Had to buy a little switch (cheap ugreen one is great) Attached devices feature in the UI just seems broken - I've got devices missing, despite the router having just assigned an address via DHCP. Means you can't always choose devices from dropdowns in config, but I didn't give anything I couldn't work around by typing in the IP. Most worryingly, this seems to have been a problem for ages, which Netgear haven't fixed.. I'm not getting warm feelings.. Netgear Armor is a really annoying service that comes with a 30 day trial. Causes the router to try to brute-force login to attached devices - which caused my Synology to block it. It then objected to open ports on the Synology and blocked them, despite me having entered the port forwarding into the router. Most annoyingly, there's no way to turn this off within the router UI, it's buried in the settings menu of the stupid app. I think my signing up for the accursed app triggered this in the first place - again, don't bother with it. Overall I'm pretty happy. Hardware seems good, but software experience feels a bit messy

Does the job
Gives great coverage around the home. Easy enough to setup but I’d consider myself a more advanced user than most. Pricey, but if you want good broadband you’ll want something like this. I’d prefer if it was more traditional and web based I.e use your browser to setup but the apps are there I suppose to make life easier for those who are less technical and therefore to increase the reach of the product to less technical users.

Do not buy if wanting access points only.
This is potentially a very good product until you decide to make it an “access point”. Once you make that change, the app stops working and all “help” goes out the window. The entire system is designed around being a "router". If you try and add this to be a simple "access point" then forget any help and access/setup via the app. If I connect to the wi-fi via any of the “satellites” then the app can’t talk to the “router”. It’s just not designed to be used that way. I personally have also experienced disconnects on my iPhone, despite having full bar Wi-Fi. It would suddenly drop to 5G and then 15 seconds later just reconnect. For those of you in U.K. who want to add them as “access points” I suggest you look elsewhere. If you want to replace your ISP router, then this mat be the perfect Wi-fi but I can't comment. However, if you're planning on changing these to "Access Point Mode", I personally would suggest an alternative, especially as these are very much dependent on the app to set up which simply does not work correctly when they are used as an access point.

When they work they are great, but when they don't they are a pain.
Initially got these as I wanted to upgrade an aging network that I had and wanted to take advantage of the wifi 7 speeds. Very easy to get setup and working, and the app while a bit limited compared to previous mesh network systems I've used, works well and lets you quickly see the devices connected to you network, as well as change basic settings and see the network status. I started having disconnect issues with one of the satellites. I spoke to netgear support who were very help and over the course of an hour, had me do a number of tests, as well as update the firmware etc. This appeared to correct the issue, so for another month the satellite was working well, until recently it has started to disconnect and loose signal. Some days it does it once, other days it does it 5 times in 1 hour. Will open a new support ticket and see how helpful they are now it's out the 90 day support window. Not sure I would buy these again personally.

Excellent product
I bought a 3 pack Orbi 770 to replace my BT WholeHome wifi mesh system which I had used for several years. I had previously upgraded from the standard BT mesh kit to the Premium version. In recent months different devices (Amazon Smart Plugs, printers, my wireless Bosch thermostat) kept losing their connection to the network and repeatedly had to be reconnected. The Netgear Orbi 770 has solved these issues. It was slightly tiresome to set up, but once up and running it has given faultless performance ever since (I’ve had it for a couple of months now). There was the initial task of reconnecting every wifi device to the new Orbi network but, once done, it has been plain sailing. I can’t say that the network coverage in my (quite large) house is any better than with the BT kit - it has comparable range - but the connectivity is totally reliable. A Speedtest suggests that I am getting 380Mbs download speeds consistently. The Netgear range comprised only the 770 and the much more expensive 970 systems when I made my purchase. Had it been available I might have gone for the new 870 model, but I am not sure that the performance would have been any better. Highly recommended.

Exceeds expectations
Exceeds all expectations Title: Exceeds all expectations Description: From a layman’s viewpoint: A quality product that is simple to set up and deploy. The wi-fi reliable and fast, removing the need for less reliable wi-fi extenders and powerline adaptors. Older and slower legacy devices are supported. This mesh system seems expensive at first sight but wish I had taken this or similar soution much earlier.

On the fence
After a week of use, I'm on the fence with these. I've 'upgraded' from a 6 year old 4 satellite RBR50 system, which worked, shall-we-say OK? Every now and again, like a child, it had a little paddy for absolutely no reason. I was aware that It was starting to buckle under the load of multiple attached devices hanging off it so thought it might be time to 'upgrade'. Setup wasn't easy, like everyone else, it would seem, worked/works in IT, so I feel I know enough to set these up with ease, even the automated setup, from the previous system didn't work, so off into the settings I went, and did it myself. It took a while to get the satellites to sync, they did eventually, reluctantly. The internet flips ON/OFF on some creaking devices, it doesn't seem to stabilize, the devices may be jostling for their hierarchical position on my network, in a war of who uses the latest security or WiFi type. Speed isn't particularly different, it's a little snappier and I can have a few more things playing at the same time. Some have suggested that it's night and day difference from their RB50 system, it really isn't. There is also a spurious backhaul SSID broadcasting itself which isn't required, NETGEAR have known about this 'bug' for a couple of years and don't seem to be doing much about it. I have beef with NETGEAR, their systems have always been problematic extending back to the early 00s when BB was in it's infancy, every system I have bought has had it's problems, that doesn't seem to have changed here either, I've installed the latest firmware which should have fixed issues by now so I'm not sure what NETGEAR are playing at, surely there can't be that much to do at NETGEAR HQ? Probably too busy in meetings about the upcoming inter company golf tournament or softball league? WiFi 6/7 isn't 'all-that' the Mrs. has a shiny new iPhone 16 which can pickup WiFi 6. but it doesn't really like it, and flips back to 5G every now and again. For £900+ I'd expect this system to be much better than it is, it really isn't much better then a 6 year old RB50 system which I didn't pay this much for. I'm keeping my old system for a month to see if my supposed £900 investment is worth it! I may come back and change my review, if NETGEAR are very good and appreciate my £900 rather than p155ing it up the wall at the monthly sales conference in Vegas. At the moment it's staying at 'could-do-a-lot-flipping-better-than-this' 2 stars

Veramente eccezionale.

Great product
I got this Orbi 770 set as a replacement for cheaper Asus ZenWiFi BD4. I originally purchased Asus Mesh system since it was cheaper, but offered WiFi 7, and about the same area coverage. Unfortunately Asus did not satisfy my requirements and I got Orbi. So far Orbi has been great. The setup, for both main router and the satellites, has been super easy. You just follow the steps in the app and you're good to go. Even without wired connection, on the house that spans three floors, the connection and speed is amazing. 800 Mbps in the bedroom that is 2 floors above the main router located in the basement. Connection is super stable, app easy to use and understand, and they also provide web interface as a replacement for the app. Overall great product, even tho the price is on the higher end. But in my opinion it's worth it.
