Awesome new power station
I am a user of multiple products from EcoFlow, including one of the original River series power stations. I looked forward to this newest version, the River 3 once they announced it was coming. I was not disappointed. This is a small form factor power station that is good for travel and when you don't have a lot of room but you need something to charge up some of your portable devices or power some small appliances. This weighs in about 10lbs so it is easily moved by most people. Out of the box, I was impressed with the feel of this device. It just seems really well put together. I plugged it into an AC outlet to charge it up and just as advertised, it charged up very quickly. One of the things that I like very much is the accompanying EcoFlow application. When I opened the app, it immediately recognized the new device via bluetooth. Setup on my network was quick and easy and required no real effort on my part. As I looked through the app, one feature that was new to any EcoFlow device that I have seen was a section that showed the current Wifi connectivity. It allows you to verify the connection, see the signal strength, IP address, and even the MAC address. Very handy indeed! It will let you change to a different network, if needed and is just an excellent feature. It is so handy that I even emailed EcoFlow and told them they need to add this to ALL their device applications. I used the River 3 to charge my cell phone and also to power up my laptop, both use USB C connectivity. This is a 300 Watt device with an X-boost up to 600 Watts, so it will handle most small appliances. It is super quiet also. Even when it was charging, I had it in my bedroom while I was sleeping and didn't even hear it. If you need something as a UPS support for a network device or some other small appliance, this device will handle that job. It has 20 MS UPS support, which I tested. It worked flawlessly. I have a network based over the air tuner/DVR that is very sensitive to power outages. It kept going when I unplugged the AC without a hiccup. Very, very pleased with this device and so happy that I made this purchase!

Portable, powerful, quiet and used on a daily basis
Love It! I've had this for several months and it has been used a UPS more than anything else. It's quiet, has decent battery life, and can keep my wifi router/modem powered for days. So far it has served admirably to keep the modem running during those periods when the weather causes the lights to blink off and on repeatedly. By keeping the modem/router connected as well as my cpu & monitor, I can keep on working without interruption or loss of data. It recharges quickly and is very quiet (unlike a couple of other units I have). Recharges quickly from either direct AC or a 100 watt solar panel. It won't power my fridge, but will keep my computer station up and running for several hours with the power off. I've used this unit since it's so light an portable to take on trips to the store to power my 12 volt fridge for frozen items purchased. Now I no longer have to rush home to put purchases in the freezer because of the 100 degree temps here in Texas. The 100 watt usb connection has been handy for charging a laptop while using it. The app allows a level of control that enhances the usefulness of the power station as well. Great entry level power station. This makes a great UPS that can keep you powered for less . Mine is plugged in and working as such 24/7 with no complaints. It was my first power station purchase and has resulted in my purchase of 3 other units to fit niches in my preparedness plans. Catch this on sale and you won't regret it.

Excellent UPS Alternative for Networking and Computer Equipment
Background & Use Case I purchased this power bank as an emergency replacement when my dedicated UPS failed, specifically to protect my computer networking and home server equipment. After extensive testing, I'm impressed enough to consider this as my go-to solution for future UPS failures. Performance & Reliability Seamless Power Transition: The switchover from AC to battery power is impressively fast. When I unplugged the unit from the wall outlet during testing, my networking hardware didn't even register a blip - no reboots, no connection drops, nothing. The transition appears instantaneous. Real-Time Monitoring: One significant advantage over traditional UPS units is the built-in display that shows actual power draw from connected devices. This makes it easy to monitor your equipment's power consumption and estimate runtime. Charging Speed: The unit charges rapidly, which means less downtime when preparing for potential outages. Quiet Operation: Unlike many UPS units with cooling fans, this power bank runs silently - a major plus for home office environments. Key Considerations Surge Protection: The main trade-off compared to dedicated UPS systems is the lack of built-in surge protection. However, this is easily addressed (and potentially improved) by using a quality surge protector power strip in conjunction with the power bank. This combination may actually provide better surge protection than many budget UPS units. Power Capacity: This power bank delivers more usable power than the UPS it replaced, while the cost difference compared to replacing SLA batteries in the old UPS was minimal. Bottom Line For networking equipment and home servers, this power bank performs as well as or better than traditional UPS solutions at a competitive price point. The combination of seamless switching, real-time power monitoring, silent operation, and superior power capacity makes it an excellent alternative to conventional UPS systems. Recommendation: Highly recommended for anyone needing backup power for networking equipment, especially when paired with a quality surge protector. I'm already planning to replace my other aging UPS units with similar power banks.

Excellent as intelligent UPS for home server and network
I'm using this as a home UPS for an Intel NUC server, a Vista 20p alarm system, a 10 port USB hub and several external drives, a 16 port ethernet switch, a cable modem and an Asus Wi-Fi router - about 70 watts total most of the time. All of this gear is tucked into an entertainment console with limited space, and this very compact unit fit perfectly. At this load it says it will keep everything alive for over 3 hours. I was a little concerned about the 20ms cutover time for the non-plus model, as most UPSs are rated for 10ms, but it turns out that nothing drops when I pull the power - it is just fine. This unit uses both Wi-Fi and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and the BLE interface let me connect it to Home Assistant (HA) via the "EcoFlow BLE (Unofficial)" custom integration and ESPHome (using an Atom Lite S3). That let me use HA to send Pushover alerts to our phones if power drops at home and we are away. Similarly, I have HA shutdown the server cleanly if the battery is down to 10%. (via MQTT and Node-Red). The custom integration means I can use HA to control the UPS locally without depending on the cloud and don't need their app at all once I have the unit set up. Overall this is a slick setup for a low cost.

Good Power Station, But Not Suitable as UPS for OLED TVs
I purchased the EF ECOFLOW Portable Charging Generator primarily to use as a UPS for a Sony OLED TV, but unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it for that specific use case. While the unit is compact, charges quickly, and offers a solid range of output ports with EcoFlow’s usual smart features, it has a key limitation: the continuous power output is capped at 300W. OLED TVs, like my Sony model, can occasionally spike above that during certain scenes, especially with HDR content or bright highlights which causes the battery to shut down unexpectedly. I had hoped the X-Boost feature would help mitigate this, but X-Boost only works when the unit is not being charged by the grid. Since a UPS setup involves constant charging, that option isn’t available in this context. That said, I have had success using this same EcoFlow unit as a UPS for a Samsung Frame TV, which is LED-based and does not suffer from the same high-wattage spikes. It’s been working flawlessly in that configuration with no shutdowns or interruptions, making it a viable UPS solution for non-OLED TVs or other electronics with consistent power draws. Addendum: I’ve since switched to using the EF ECOFLOW River 3 Plus as a UPS for my Sony OLED TV, and that setup has been working perfectly. The River 3 Plus offers a 600W continuous output, which comfortably handles the occasional power spikes from the OLED panel. So if you’re looking to back up an OLED TV with an EcoFlow system, I highly recommend stepping up to the River 3 Plus for peace of mind and reliable performance.

UPS, portable power for laptop
I recently purchased the EcoFlow River 3 and it came paired with the 45W solar panel, and I have to say, it’s been a fantastic investment. It works great both as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and for camping, providing reliable power when and where I need it most. The EcoFlow River 3 has become my go-to UPS for essential devices like my router, laptop, and even a few small appliances. During power outages, it seamlessly switches over to battery power with its <10 ms response time, ensuring that my devices stay powered without any interruptions. I’ve had it power my router and computer for several hours during brief outages, allowing me to keep working and stay connected. The switch from grid power to the River 3 is practically instantaneous, so there’s no downtime, which is critical for anyone working from home or relying on continuous internet access. As a camping companion, the EcoFlow River 3 has been incredibly convenient. It’s compact, lightweight, and powerful enough to run small appliances like a portable fridge, lights, and charge multiple devices at once. Whether I’m using it to power a fan on hot nights or keep my camera and phone charged, it’s a great companion for outdoor adventures. The 45W solar panel that comes with the River 3 is a nice addition, offering a reliable way to recharge the power station during the day when you’re off the grid. It’s lightweight and portable, so it doesn’t take up much room in my pack, and it’s easy to set up. Even on partly cloudy days, it provides enough power to keep the River 3 topped off for daily use. I’ve been impressed with the fast charging of the EcoFlow River 3—it goes from 0% to 100% in just about an hour when plugged into a wall outlet, which is fantastic for a portable power station. When using the solar panel, it charges at a decent rate, allowing me to keep everything powered without worrying about running out of juice. Even with the 45W panel, I’ve found it efficient enough for camping trips, especially when I need to recharge between activities or overnight. Quiet Operation Another huge advantage is how quiet the EcoFlow River 3 operates. Whether I’m using it at home as a UPS or at the campsite, it runs silently in the background, unlike gas-powered generators. This makes it perfect for use in more tranquil settings, whether you’re indoors or out in nature. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the EcoFlow River 3 and 45W solar panel combination. The panel gets about 35w on my porch but I also connected two 45w panels together to get about 75w consistently. As a UPS, it keeps my critical devices powered during outages without a hitch. For camping, it’s reliable and versatile enough to meet all my power needs while being compact and easy to carry. If you’re looking for a portable power station that’s both reliable for home backup and efficient for outdoor adventures, the EcoFlow River 3 is an excellent choice. It’s a great value for the performance it delivers, and the solar panel is the perfect addition for sustainable, off-grid power. Highly recommended!

Love the size and power
I’m loving my new River 3 by Ecoflow. It makes setting up outdoor movie nights for my family a breeze not having to run extension cords across the yard. This thing packs a punch! With a 300W AC output (surge up to 600W), it handled all my small to medium-sized devices with ease. I could charge my laptop, phone, and run a small mini fridge simultaneously without any hiccups. Because it's nice and compact and light I can grab and go throwing it in the minivan and the kids can keep the electronic devices running for hours on road trips. It supports fast charging, and I was able to charge it from 0% to 80% in just under an hour. For solar enthusiasts, it also comes with a solar charging port, up to 110w, and during a sunny day, I was able to fully charge it in under 3 hours using a solar panel. Pros: - Lightweight portable design. - Fast charging speed with multiple charging options (AC, DC, solar). - X-Boost feature allows for powering higher-wattage devices. - Long battery life with a high cycle count. - Easy-to-use interface with a reliable mobile app. Cons: - It's not the cheapest option out there, but given the features it offers and the fact that it’s from a leader in portable power solutions, I think it offers great value. -It doesn’t have a wireless charging pad for phone charging

It does what it says
My use case is as a UPS that won't require a new lead acid battery every few years, and to increase power outage run time. It is hooked to my TV and the stereo for better sound. I am returning it because as I found out via testing, LG's "average power draw" and the actual power draw are not the same. This poor thing was asked to supply more than it was rated for. Draw under that amount worked great and I liked that it's input could keep up with the demand (I tried an Anker that was a mere 65 watts input). It was quieter than a Bluetti of the same rating, however I suspect the Bluetti's fans were coming on because of the high draw. Points to Bluetti for continuing to work, but I suspect it is safer for the equipment to refuse to allow a higher-than-rated draw so I'm glad this shut down and forced me to check the current. Their app is fine but it was annoying to find an old phone, set up a new Google account, and set up a guest network on my WiFi so I could run a PRC-based app. The size is OK, I personally wish it was taller rather than squat, more like a traditional UPS. I also wish the power IO was on an end, again like a traditional UPS. I don't see the advantage of the new model over the old one, but I've had to get the next size up portable power station for my TV. Before I knew the problem, I contacted their support and they got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. Their 2nd tier hasn't gotten back to me but first tier followed up, so points to them for support. Bottom line, if this met my needs, I'd keep it.

Gracias y sigan mejorando.
