Ergo Comfort Grips Case for the ASUS ROG Ally Z1 & Z1 Extreme Protective Gripcase

This is perfect its on tight perfect fit and I have a Handheld DIY backplate on it fits like a glove I recommend it its soo comfortable now it feels like a gaming controller

At the time of writing this review, I've had it installed for no less that 5 minutes. OMG did this surpass my expectations. This should be mandatory. I can play with my large hands and have some meat to hold on to. So comfortable, no more hand cramps. Solid grip. I'd recommend getting the backplate with the kickstand built in like the clear one. OMG this is AMAZING!!!!

So far this is the most comfortable grip for the rog ally NON xbox. It has more grip than the skull and co case/ Problem: build quality is not the best. I feel like the tabs will break if I take it off and on too many times, and when they are on, they are a little loose, like one is more loose than the other. I wish they would give you 2 sets for 15 dollars, but since it's so comfortable, I'd probably just buy 2 in case my main one breaks, even though I feel like I'm over paying

Overall the grips are amazing, it adds quite a bit of thickness which helps so much as far as comfort while playing for a long period of time. The rubber grip pad is a good idea, very nice spot to rest the tips of my fingers, but it would be nice to have some texture around the sides as the plastic is very smooth. I see complaints about the back buttons but I feel like it’s still just as easy to reach them I have no issues with that . My main gripe that makes me wonder if my set just had poor quality control, is the right grip is very loose and the clip towards the top by the fan keeps coming apart. Overall the right one is much more loose than the left ( the left doesn't budge at all btw) and almost feels not secure at all as the gaps in between the plastic are very noticeable. It could be because there is a little less plastic to hold it secure due to the buttons being on that side but I am unsure. I want to love it but it’s a little bothersome at times, maybe I’ll try another set and see if it was just this one I was sent this time.

I very much prefer to play games through local streaming, whether from my Xbox or my PC. The Ally (as a Windows PC) interfaces perfectly with those other Microsoft platforms making for a very user friendly and stable interaction. The downside for me has always been the form factor because it's too flat for me to find comfortable. The flatness is good if you want to bring it with you everywhere but I don't. I just want to go from my desk where I was working, to, afterwards, literally anywhere else around my house. These grips add quite a bit of bulk on the sides but that's EXACTLY what I was looking for. It feels like a normal controller now. They snap on very easily and have a nice solid fit to where you completely forget they're on there or even that your using a handheld PC. This product is highly recommended if you don't care about whether your Ally is optimized to be 'travel-friendly'

This is a great buy if you're looking for comfort while playing for long periods of time at a budget-friendly price. It's comfortable to wear and easy assemble and use, but be aware that dirt can easily get in the seams.

It’s exactly what the Ally needed! I have smaller/medium hands and i find the ergonomics of the stock case to be very uncomfortable with the right thumb stick being so low. But this case extends the back of the grip so it feels more like an Xbox One controller! It doesn’t add too much bulk either so it still maintains a pretty low profile.
