FACEMOON Eye Mask with Cooling Gel, Black

Review of sleep masks from the Facemoon Store I stuck this in the freezer for a couple of hours before trying it out. When I first put it on, it was uncomfortably cold for my eyes. Since one side of the mask is more padded than the other, I switched the mask over the the more padded side. It worked fine that way. After about 7 minutes I was able to turn the mask over to the less-padded side and be comfortable that way. It was 14 minutes before my eyes became so used to the coolness that I wasn't really feeling it any more. If I touched it with my hand, I could feel that the mask was still cool, but not exactly cool enough to do much good. Right now the temperature is an unpleasant 83°F. The sensation of coolness from the mask felt very refreshing to my skin and my eyes. The straps on these masks are easy to adjust so that the mask fits well. The gel is a thick, squishy sheet that covers the whole eye socket area. The whole construction of the front of the masks is very pleasantly soft and squishy. There were no manufacturing defects visible on my masks and the construction seems sturdy enough that they should last for many uses. I just have to remember not to play with the mask and squish it in my hands because I'm not sure how much abuse this kind of cooling gel can take before it starts to get holes in it. I have no complaints about the masks and find them very relaxing. In 80°F+ weather, I'm not going to be trying this as a heat pack right now but I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't work just as well for that as for cold. 5 stars.

I ordered the FACEMOON Cooling & Heating Gel Weighted Eye Masks to use when I have puffy eyes from allergies or lack of sleep. Since all my other eye masks are somewhat light and thin, I was curious to try out these weighted masks. The fabric with the weighted gel is soft, squishy and very comfortable. Because the masks are large and thick, they do a nice job blocking out light. The adjustable straps also help fit any sized head. The option to freeze or warm these masks up in the microwave is a plus, but the fabric is already cool to the touch without having to place them in the freezer. The masks arrived without separate directions, except for washing instructions on the box. As a result, I had to go back to the Amazon description to find out how many minutes are recommended for the microwave and freezer. Overall, these are good quality masks that work well to block out light and reduce eye puffiness. The fact that you get two masks for the current price of $25 is also a great deal.

These are great. The quality is high, and we use them frozen to help with migraine headaches.
