McCain Microwave Quick Chips Crinkle Cut 4x100g

Marvellous for a quick snack. I only microwave for two minutes 20 seconds otherwise they are not soft how I like them and some are hard in the middle which puts me off.

Great if you are in a rush or even if not on a rush. Great chips!

Okay for a quick and easy snack but not very filling so would be ideal if you have a microwave pizza to go with them

These are easy to cook for one person. I put them in the oven for 10min as they tast better. But you mainly put these in the microwave as there quicker to warm up for 2min..

...in the freezer if, like me, you live on your own and sometimes you fancy having a handful of chips with whatever else is on the menu these appear to be convenient. McCain are a top brand in the frozen chip world and yet these packages are not quite worthy of more than 3 stars in my opinion. Considering these are microwave chips they just about do the job of providing an edible chip but they are not the equal of an oven chip - albeit both may well be a McCain chip. The small lined cardboard boxes have a clear 'cellophane?' wrapper with one of those 'red tear strips' which are supposed to enable you to unwrap the box easily - well, I am sorry Mr McCain but they simply do not work for me and I end up using a sharp knife to cut through the end of box flaps and then end up wit a slightly distorted box from struggling with the strip. The perforations that enable you to open the box and fold the lid back and under are often badly formed and the lid tears which is simply a lack of quality control. Despite following the detailed instructions for microwaving these chips they finish up mainly stuck to each other and are very hot to touch if you attempt to part them and obviously if you wait for them to cool you will end up with cold chips. Despite what is a fairly negative review I buy these on a regular basis to keep in my freezer but I now know what to expect from that little box which sadly is not what I would like to get. I would switch if I could find a suitable alternative but I haven't found one yet. Thank you for your time in reading my feedback/review – I hope it may have helped you in your own buying decision. Quick and easy. I don't eat alot of chips so these are perfect for me. I finish these off in the air fryer
