How long do they last unopened?

I found a box in my camping boxfrom 2015. Added hot water and cooked and still were just as good. Shelf life is alot longer than best by date. 3/21/21

What kind of shelf life do these have?

Kept in original container and in reasonable storage place, I can see them lasting a year before use. They have a great shelf life - they are dehydrated.

Do i have to keep them in a freezer or frig unopened

Unopened I would think they would last forever. Easy to prepare and make great hashbrowns.
