Great pool so far!
So far so good! Got this built within a few hours by myself (35 year old female). Because it’s a million degrees in Texas, I decided to put it together in bite-sized chunks. Every time I let the dogs outside, I’d build another wall or two. Before I knew, it was ready for water! It’s filling as we speak, which may actually take a few hours because this medium-sized pool is actually quite large! It can easily fit several large adults comfortably. Looks and feels really durable, so we’ll see how it holds up. As for the ease of installation, I’d probably recommend it being a two person job, but definitely doable for one adult - just make sure to follow the instructions carefully, know where each pole goes, and take note of where the holes are on each because it really does matter. I know it may seem counterproductive to do the top first, as the instructions are stated, but it actually does make this build a lot easier. I’d say it’s absolutely worth the money so far, but we’ll see after a month or so of use! Note: I’m not using the filter parts because I don’t care to deal with it or purchase a pump, so I can’t speak to that. Also, I got this for myself and my fiance to cool off over the summer and I would absolutely call this an adult pool. Tips: • DO follow directions - don’t wing it, I guarantee you’ll likely have to take things apart and redo them. • DO leave it out for at least 24 hours as stated in the directions - it’s a surprisingly important first step. • Once fully built, make sure the side legs are completely out and pressed against the T-shaped holders at the bottom of the pool. This will ensure its stability. • For this particular size, I would NOT recommend children being left unattended, as it’s quite large and deep. I wouldn’t recommend for dogs either because it’s simply too large, unless you have a pony for a dog or don’t mind picking them up and taking them out - PLEASE don’t leave dogs/animals or children unattended with this pool. If you need that, this isn’t the pool for you. • If you don’t use the filter system, still make sure to put the stoppers in the filter holes so the water doesn’t drain out. (This can be an easy step to miss if you aren’t careful) • I recommend a small chlorine floater that uses the small tablets. Super easy and cheap for maintenance. • I also recommend a cover whether you do or don’t use the filter system. This will keep it much cleaner and help ensure that small wildlife doesn’t get in that can’t get out. • If you don’t want to spring for a net for cleaning, just pull debris out by hand or use a colander or kitchen sieve. Simple and effective!

Perfect Backyard Pool For The Whole Familu
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Backyard Pool for the Whole Family! We recently purchased this 6ft by 9ft Intex above-ground pool from Amazon, and it has been one of the best summer buys for our family! It’s the perfect size for our toddlers (ages 3 and 5) to splash around safely, and there’s even enough room for adults to sit and relax comfortably. Setup was a breeze — it took very little time and effort to get it up and running. We filled it using our well water without any issues. The quality is excellent, and it feels sturdy and durable even after repeated use. If you're looking for a fun, affordable, and easy-to-maintain pool for young kids — with enough space for parents to join in too — this one is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for families with little ones who want to stay cool and entertained all summer long!

Great pool! There are some tricks though.
This pool was bigger than we expected and takes up a chunk of our patio, but we love it so much! We opted to not use a ladder and just have a step stool - works for everyone just fine. It is very sturdy and works perfectly for our family. We didn't check our patio to make sure it is level, but it turned out just fine! Took maybe 30 minutes to put it together with my husband. I bought a cheap solar cover and it works fantastic to keep the temperature from dropping in the water at night. It also keeps the stuff from the trees out of the pool when the wind blows. It was a game changer, as the water kept getting too cold. We have a 1" chlorine floater and I do two chlorine tabs at a time, always making sure when they start to get small that I add another two (a few days apart). I do have liquid chlorine ($5 at a big box store) and have added a couple capfuls after heavy use. But the floater seems to do fine! I did have to use quite a bit of chlorine stabilizer right at the beginning but it lasts for a long time. It takes forever to dissolve so I put it in a reusable mesh produce bag and tie it to the hose where the water comes back in to the pool from the pump. That way we can swim while it dissolves over a day or two in the moving water. I have all the other chemicals on hand (Ph up and down, baking soda for alkaline). But I have only had to use baking soda one time. I check the test strip every morning. A lesson learned - another reviewer said to make sure you have a few inches between the leg and the edge of the patio, which we did. It was fine at first, but a few days in, the leg went off the patio. When the pool fills, the legs spread! We put some wood under them and that works fine for this summer. I use a pool skimmer (pole with a net) to clean the surface and the bottom, however, I think a pool vacuum would be better for this size. I may do that next summer. We wish we had bought this years ago! We use it almost every day and our granddaughter enjoys it so much.

Perfect for families with young kids!
UPDATE: after a year in our attic, it’s still just as great! We have one tiny hole from it being folded up, but we patched it and not leaking now. 10/10!! This is an honest review after having this pool for over a month now. My husband searched the internet and read review after review to find our family the perfect pool this summer. And this is it! -For starters, we have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and a 2 month old. This is a great size for our two older kids to swim in. It’s deep enough for them to swim from end to end. Shallow enough where we don’t have to be in the pool with them and can watch them from the side of the pool. -We also fit all 5 of us in here comfortably and let our littlest one splash around. Great for the whole family! -Pool is very sturdy and material is nice and thick -Easy set up! We put a tarp down before setting it up to prevent any holes on the bottom. -We filled it up Memorial weekend, and we’re almost to the 4th of July. We have not had to empty it out since then! Our kids swim in it every day, sometimes twice a day. Here are some tips to keeping it crystal clear: -We purchased the INTEX C1000 Krystal Clear cartridge filter Pump and run it every night for 10 hours -Change filter out every 2 weeks (you can buy a 2 pack at Walmart for $7) -We purchased the Intex Deluxe Wall Mount Surface Skimmer. This pulls all the bigger debris in like bugs, leaves and sticks from the trees above -Vacuum every morning with Intex Rechargeable Handheld Vacuum Cleaner before the kids swim -Shock it every week or two-when it starts to look a little hazy -Use clarifier every two weeks -We keep 2 of the 1” chlorine tabs in the turtle chlorine floater Is it the prettiest? No 😂 would we love the look of a stock tank pool? Yes! But those aren’t practical if your kids actually want to swim. This can also be taken down after summer and (hopefully!) put back up the next year. If it doesn’t last through the summer, it’s cheap enough to replace. Overall, this has been the best pool for our family, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Almost Perfect
We set this pool up in mid July 2018, and just now took it down, Sept. 1, 2018. We live in East County, San Diego, and our summers are pretty brutal. That said, this was a wonderful choice for our grandchildren, whom we watch during the days, to cool off from the heat of summer, and have some fun with pool floats, Super Soakers, and the like. With the use of a chlorine float dispenser and an Intex pump/filter, the water stayed crystal clear and within reasonable pool test kit limits. This pool is a nice size for kids and a couple of adults to get in and splash around and have fun. It is sturdy, and not too awfully difficult to put together. My wife and I assembled it in about an hour or so. We set it up on a cement porch, which is not PERFECTLY level, and had no disasters. I think this pool is small enough to be able to get away with that. A couple of criticisms; this pool is not the easiest pool in the world to drain. The drain plug could be an inch or two lower, because once the water level is below it, there's still A LOT OF WATER LEFT! I tried to use our pump/filter to siphon out the remaining water, but that was a no go. The instructions say to lift the pool from one side to send the remaining water to the drain side, but this seemed to me to be something that would put way too much stress on the liner and frame. I'm a fairly strong guy, and it was pretty tough to lift one end of the pool with the remaining water. So, it was time for some good old fashioned BAILING with buckets! We did this for a bit, and got much of the rest of the water out, and then, I HAD AN IDEA! We partially disassembled the pool on the side where we wanted the water to drain, and that did the trick! We were then able to raise the pool lengthwise, and dump out the remaining water without much effort nor stress to the pool's liner and fabric. Another quibble, which others have also noted, is that some of the metal support pieces have begun to rust after only using the pool for a couple of months. We will paint these with some Rustoleum before storing, but the original paint job should have precluded the need for this. Otherwise, this is a very family friendly, easy on the pocket book pool! I hope it will last us a number of summers!

Easy and great value
I've used the Intex easy set version for years when my kids were little but this year we sized up to this metal frame option (15x7). Take a minute to see a set up video and you shouldn't have any problems. Two things I learned that I will share. This pool has the smaller 1.25 inch values. If you get a larger pump, like the c1500, you'll need to adjust the valve size by cutting out the small ones and inserting larger valves. This was a bit scary for me but after watching a video it was actually super easy and took less than 5 minutes. The other thing has to do with the ground you're placing it on. My backyard is small and has pavers. So the ground is level. But the pavers have an irregular pattern and one of the support posts was abutting the edge of the paver where it meets the dirt. When I set up the pool, before adding water, all the support posts were on the pavers, though one was barely on. However, when I added water and the kids started goofing around in it, one of the post shifted and "slipped" onto the dirt. As a result there was a serious and scary looking bend in the wall of the pool. The post sank into the dirt making the whole pool lean a bit in that direction. With the pool filled with water it was too heavy to adjust that post so I had to drain a foot or so of water from the pool. That gave me enough wiggle room to fit a brick under the one leg that sat on the dirt. That gave the post the secure surface to sit on so when I refilled the pool it didn't sink and retained its proper shape. What I think happened is that b/c the pool sits on a tarp, the slickness of the tarp allowed the pool/and the posts to shift a few inches and that moved the leg just enough to get get it off the paver and onto the dirt. Once I added the brick support, I went around the pool with an sharp blade and removed as much of the excess tarp as possible, including the sections of the tarp under the posts. With the posts touching the pavers directly, they are firmly place and "impossible" to move so I'm hopeful we won't have that problem again. Anyway, aside from that, this has been great and the kids have much more room to play.

BETTER THAN ANY POOL IN ITS PRICE RANGE - LITERALLY LIFE-CHANGING
We've owned many Intex products over the years, with mixed results. I would highly recommend AGAINST the alternative above ground pools that have the inflatable edges. THIS unit changed our lives, literally. Our Summer 2022 was an absolute THRILL. This pool turned our backyard into PARADISE. I put it together myself and it was a challenge, although the instructions were good and there are excellent YouTube videos you can follow, that are easy to understand. I do recommend having at least 2 people available to set it up, even tho I went for it and set it up alone. We use this for leisure and my mom who is handicapped uses it as a place to do her water therapy and exercises. This pool is very, very sturdy, has a ton of space in it for a smaller pool. You can easily fit several people in there. It's not overly deep so you're not gonna be diving or anything. But for getting refreshed, laying around on medium sized inflatables and just generally having an awesome Summer, this pool is a MUST BUY, in my humble opinion. I was shocked by the quality and would definitely buy again if ever needed. The construction quality is night and day vs. the inflatable type. You WILL NOT be disappointed and their customer service is awesome (we had to replace an Intex water pump at one point, and there was zero hassle getting it replaced!). GET THIS POOL!
