This hat has been essential daily kit for my son during the hot summer days, it has provided shade for his face, neck and ears preventing sun burn and keeps his head cool. Looks great, folds up very small, doesn’t hold wrinkles and washes well. Best hat he’s owned.

good ventilation, portable, great face/neck coverage
used it whole summer under the Mediterranean heat. It covers my neck and i don't sweat as much compared to a baseball hat due to the ventilation. Wirecutter recommendation is accurate. Will use it during gardening. much more stylish than those Chinese brands that cover the whole neck. You can also fold it and take it in your luggafge.
