OtterBox iPhone 16 Plus Commuter Series Case - Black

I bought this OtterBox phone case for my husband because he works in construction and his phone gets dropped pretty often. It also gets exposed to dirt, mud, and all kinds of rough conditions, so he needed something really strong and protective. This case has been great! It feels very sturdy and provides excellent protection. His phone has taken some drops and the case has held up really well. Definitely worth it if you need a durable case for everyday use and tough work environments.

I love this model of the OtterBox! It is light, nice looking and durable. It has saved my phone from a few drops on hard surfaces, but I especially love, love, love, the rubber that covers the charging port. It saved my iPhone when my phone accidentally fell in the lake. It took hours to find a diver to search for the phone, and to everyone’s surprise, the phone functioned “like nothing happened” when it was found!. This happened 3 years ago and the phone is still being functioning!. I have never bought a different iPhone cover since then!!!

I’ve had this OtterBox Commuter Series case for about a month now (maybe a little less), and so far I’ve been really happy with it. I’m extremely clumsy with my phone, so protection is always my biggest priority when buying a case. I’ve already dropped my phone a couple of times since getting this one, and it’s held up perfectly. OtterBox is honestly one of the few brands I trust completely when it comes to keeping my phone protected. The case feels sturdy without being ridiculously bulky, which I appreciate because some heavy-duty cases can make your phone feel massive. The grip is nice, the buttons are still easy to press, and it feels secure in my hand. It also fits the iPhone 16 Plus really well with accurate cutouts and a good raised edge around the screen/camera for extra protection. One funny thing is that I originally bought the Denver Dusk color because I thought it was blue… turns out I apparently can’t read, because it definitely leans more purple in person 😭 That said, I actually still really like the color. It’s a softer muted purple and looks really nice in natural lighting. Overall, if you’re accident-prone like me and want something protective without being overly bulky, I definitely recommend this case. It feels durable, reliable, and like it’ll last a long time. Definitely worth the money for the peace of mind alone.

Only reason I purchased this was this otter box case is use on my work phone, I drive a big rig/18 wheelers/ tractor a trailer whatever you want to call it. One morning I accidentally left it on my steps as I was doing a pre trip, my mind wonder somewhere else and I forgot it, ran it over and I heard a crunch got out and pick it up only thing crack was screen protector, some scuff on case and camera but phone? Not even a dent. It’s easy to put on and off also feels better than most generic cases, could use some texture on the center where your hands is place. Gas a great looks very slim and sleek not bulky

I’ve always trusted OtterBox, and overall this is still a solid case. I specifically chose this model because of the material. I really don’t like the clear or glossy plastic cases that tend to get oily or slick over time, and this case does a great job avoiding that. It stays grippy, doesn’t feel greasy, and feels secure in the hand. That said, I do have one issue worth mentioning. The rubber insert along the bottom has started to peel after a few weeks of use. I carry my phone in a snug vest pocket at work, and with regular movement and friction against the fabric, the rubber has begun to wear down. I don’t consider this a design flaw so much as a result of how I use the phone and where I carry it. Still, it’s a bit frustrating to see noticeable wear so quickly on a premium case. If you’re looking for a case that feels good, doesn’t get oily, and offers solid protection, this is still a good option. Just be aware that if your phone sits in a tight pocket or sees a lot of friction, the rubber areas may wear faster over time.

Love! My husband was on me about getting a new case since I drop my phone so much especially being a mom of 2. This case gives a sense of security while also being sleek and not too bulky. Worth the money imo.

This is a very good protective cover. It is well made and unlike those silicone things everyone else seems to like, they don’t stick to your shirt pocket. You can actually slip your phone in and out without it hanging up on the fabric.

I would give it a 5 star review (and I wish you could do 4.5), but there are some things about the case that I wish were a little bit better. I have owned this case for 10 months and I am now looking to replace it. First, the top of the case cracked and a piece broke off maybe 7 or 8 months into owning it, better than the screen I suppose but I have been too lazy to replace it up until now. Second, after a while the case becomes very... loose. Not loose to the point of the phone falling out of the case, but loose enough to where a lot more dirt and debris will get inside the case making it very dirty quite often. Now as far the good, I'll keep it short and to the point. The design is the sleekest I have seen/felt for a protective case, and I have dropped my phone a few times since owning it and I've never once had a problem. The charger port cover held up extremely well and protected the port perfectly, and didn't break even with me messing with it all the time. Lastly, the wireless charging works great. altogether, for me it is a case that even with some minor flaws is worth buying not once but now going on twice.

Tal cual como venía en la foto y descripción, el color es bonito, dos azules diferentes, protege bien sin ser estorbosa. Nada más el botón lateral para foto está sin protección para que quede libre, si se cae y se pega ahí, sería muy mala suerte.

Phone case has cracked by charging port. I haven’t dropped it but have taken it off to change cases occasionally.

The best case money can buy. Especially when wanting to keep charging port clean as there is a built in flap. Also the commuter model is a good balance between protection and not bulky.
