Just had to drill out some plastic rivets on the inside of the panel, new one just bolts on, was concerned it wouldn’t match colors but it looks great! Feels great too, no more broken handle.

Very happy with this one. my advice would be make sure you order the Dorman. I found a passenger side one as well...not near the quality of this one. This one is metal reinforced and is secured with bolt/studs and nuts with washers. great concept. My "other" one was secured with screws into plastic and only plastic reinforcement. This one is good, was easy to install, great fit.

Everyone once in a while, you hit upon a really excellent product. This is one of those. It is a PERFECT fit for my 2012 Chevy Avalanche. The reason I need to order this? Because the OEM - the part that comes with the truck - is made up of several white plastic "rails". That's it. A bunch of plastic inside an armrest that is also used to close the door! This Dorman replacement part far exceeds the Chevy part. There is no comparison. Dorman is like it should be - the Chey part is joke. In future, when looking for other replacement parts - and I'm sure there will be! - I will look for name brand Dorman first. It just makes sense...

Aftermarket part is well built, not a quick repair, but a good repair for all those work trucks
