You can't beat a Breville! Love these... To be fair, you'll get a good few year's worth of use before the various plates lose their non-stickiness... but in the meantime they make the best toasties by far! And the other plates work well too. Hmmmm...

After comparing different toastie makers I decided on this one and it has been worth it. From plugging it in it takes approximately the time to make a sandwich before it is ready so heats quickly and evenly over the plates. The plates being dishwasherable is great although i sometimes just wipe the plates. The machine itself sits nicely upright when not in use so doesnt take up too much space on the worksurface. I highly reccomend this

A decent bit of kit...warms up quickly enough and the plates are easy to change and clean. Small negative in that some of the plates arrived with small chips in the anti-stick coating and that the hinge design isn't great if your sandwich/panini is a little on the thick side. Overall though recommended for the price.

Excellent product, this is an upgrade for me. My much used 15 year old Breville finally gave up on me. I had no hesitation in buying a new version. This 3-in-1 model is perfect. Very easy to use and all the different plates can be washed or put in the dishwasher. I would highly recommend.

Great, but it can make a mess. The best part is that you can remove the plate for the dishwasher. It didn't stick, but you have to be careful not to put too much dough (like in the photo, I used boiled potato), if it gets on the plastic part it's very difficult to clean. Overall, a great product.

Edit 26th Apr. In the history of Breville toasties makers this had got to be the worst junkest toastie maker that they've put out there. It's been used about 5 times now and it's churning out the palest of toasted sandwiches even after them being in ages. The washable removable plates are now truly awful to clean. Our family has bought Breville toastie makers since they came out in the 80s and this has gotta be the worst cheapest junk edition so far. Come on Breville u need to do better. I had the previous version of this Breville sandwich maker and it was so much better. The stainless steel on the front of this seems a bit tinny, it marks even with fingerprints and doesn't clean off easily. Where the previous one looked as good as the day I bought it, but unfortunately was overheating after 2 yrs of using it a fair amount. This new one doesn't seem as good quality as the previous one. Seems lighter and feels tinny and cheap. The plates are a bit bigger than on the previous one so slices of bread should fit in it better. It claims to be a deep fill sandwich maker but it's not really, nor was the previous one if I'm honest. The cord is stupidly much shorter than the previous version which was short but still reached the socket I needed it to. This one is short so we're having to make sure when the breville maker is opened that it doesn't touch the short cord as the top of the maker gets incredibly hot. Not used it yet but will come back and add comment when I do. Edit: we usually could dump a raw egg in the bread of the old version and it rarely lost egg out the side. This one lost egg on both sides. It didn't brown evenly over both toasties and the end result was a softer toastie than the crisp ones the older version made. The upside was the bread didn't overhang on this one with the plates being larger. It's ok but I wouldn't buy this version again as the many con negatives (stupidly short cord) outweigh the one positive.

I was so thrilled to receive this as a gift esp as it does paninis and waffles as well as toasties however after occasional use of this machine for 6months the plug had melted/broken which you wouldn’t of expected from a breville. The toastie size is a bit too big for most breads so I have to stretch my bread before putting in and doesn’t completely seal properly because of it which annoying. I really like how easy it is to clean tho w the removable plates and does toast well. Not used the waffle plates yet so can’t recommend on those yet

I love this. Very good quality and hard wearing. Easy to clean and the lid closes so well, very sturdy and very non stick. Highly recommend.

Extremely Disappointed – Not What I Expected from Breville I had high expectations from this Breville 3-in-1 Ultimate Snack Maker (VST098) because I've had great experiences with Breville products in the past. Unfortunately, this one has been a huge letdown. The panini press does not work well – sandwiches come out unevenly cooked, and the toasty function is even worse. The bread never browns properly, no matter how long I leave it in. The results are bland and underwhelming, definitely not what you expect from a premium brand. Honestly, I feel like I would’ve been better off buying a cheaper alternative – it might have performed better than this. I'm also frustrated because due to travel, I wasn’t able to test the product right away and now I’ve missed the return window. I wish there was an option to return it or at least receive store credit. This product did not live up to the Breville name at all. Extremely disappointed. I did not want to give even 1 star.

This is the second one of these our house has had and after a month it has started tripping my electricity, we’ve tried on multiple sockets and it keeps doing the same thing each time

It’s good. Not really worth the 40 quid. Panini part is good. Toasty part not really. Waffles are good. It’s says dishwasher safe however it is not. Everything oxidised it is now completely unusable. Can’t get a refund as it happened after 30 days. Breville support don’t reply and don’t seem to support Irish customers as Ireland is not listed on their site.

One of the cheap plastic clips that hold the heated plates is broken. The plate is loose and falls out every time it is opened and it makes the appliance unusable over a tiny little spring clip. I would avoid this product as the quality is very poor.
