Chef Craft Cake Tester

Function well in checking cake, cupcake, etc. for doneness. Easy cleaning with good value for the money and seems durable. Has a storage case for safety which I like.

Finally purchased something better than my toothpick. This is long enough to test a tall cake, which comes in handy. Just a stainless steel "stick" with a cute handle on it so I don't burn my fingers. I really like the cover so that when it is clean it can go in the drawer and be ready for the next use. This should last me a long time.

It works well for testing the doneness of cakes, cupcakes,and quick breads. I like that the cover can be attached to a ring. I have it on my measuring cups ring.

Best little tool in my baking drawer. I love that it comes with storing tube, a visible red handle too. The thickness of the of the insert is sturdy and just the right thickness to test the baked item.

I'm a pastry chef by trade, so having a good thermometer and a cake tester is essential! I'm glad to report this one has been great! Cake testers have two parts: a small metal pick, and a little handle at the end for use. This is the same, but it comes with a little holder and a nicer rubberized handle. Meaning this one is much harder to lose! Its also a good size, nice length but not too long, fits in my chef whites pocket perfectly. The better handle part is great when your in a rush and just need to grab it and go. It's also more sturdy then the typical cheap versions. The metal pick is a little thicker than most, the handle is not too large but perfect for fingers to grab. The whole thing is simple and easy to use, and clean Not much else to say, it's just a simple product that works better than most versions!

Works nicely. Better than a toothpick or skewer since it's infinitely reusable.

I recently made a 3D cake and this tester worked perfectly. It is made well and worked great.

Long enough, durable enough, and I only need one. The red knob does get hot and is easy to grip.

The handle is made of soft but sturdy and reliable plastic. The stainless steel rod is a little thicker than other models. The cover is simple and provides good support.
