Love it!
I’ve been using this wireless Android Auto adapter in my 2022 Toyota Tacoma for a few weeks now, and it has honestly been one of my favorite car accessories. My truck only supports wired Android Auto from the factory, and constantly plugging in my phone was getting old fast. This adapter fixes that completely. Once it was set up, it automatically connects every single time I get in the truck. I start the engine, and within seconds Android Auto pops up on the screen without me touching my phone. No cables, no fiddling, no reconnecting. It has been extremely consistent so far. Setup was simple. I plugged it into the USB port, paired my phone once, and that was it. After the initial setup, it has just worked. Audio, navigation, and controls all behave the same as when I used a wired connection. I have not noticed any meaningful lag when using maps or switching apps. What I appreciate most is how seamless it feels. It turns wired only Android Auto into something that feels factory wireless. For daily driving, errands, and commuting, it makes the whole experience smoother. The only thing to keep in mind is that it relies on your phone’s wireless connection, so if your phone struggles with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi stability, that could matter. In my case, it has been rock solid. Overall, if you drive a Tacoma with wired only Android Auto and want true hands off convenience, this adapter is absolutely worth it. It does exactly what it claims to do, and it does it reliably.

Size Doesn't Matter, It’s How You Use the Dongle
Let’s be honest, nobody likes fumbling around in the dark trying to find the right slot for their stiff, unresponsive cable. I was tired of the constant "plug and pray" routine every time I got into the cockpit. Enter the AAWireless Two. At just over two inches, this little European import is proof that big things come in small packages. The setup was so fast, I barely had time to get comfortable before we were fully connected. I just slipped it into the USB port, and once it was in, it stayed in. No slipping out mid-trip, no "losing the connection" right when things were getting exciting on Google Maps. The Multifunctional Button is a real sensitive spot—one touch and it knows exactly what I want. Whether I’m toggling between devices or just looking for a quick restart, it responds to my every command. And the best part? No wires. It’s completely "hands-free," leaving my hands at 10 and 2 where they belong (mostly). I was worried about a little "external interference" ruining the mood, but this thing is a pro. It’s smooth, lag-free, and handles every curve of the road without stuttering. If you're still tethered to your dashboard like it’s 2010, do yourself a favor: go wireless. Once you experience a connection this seamless, you’ll never want to go back to manual insertion again. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it always finishes the job. Best 18 grams I’ve ever spent money on.

Amazing product coming from HeadUnit Reloaded
First, this is an amazing product. It's completely changed my experience with android auto and I do not regret the purchase and so far it's been working flawlessly. But I'll be honest, I was pretty skeptical about this unit at first. Why, you may ask? Previously, I had a car with an android tablet in it with HeadUnit Reloaded installed on it, which was an android application that was a predecessor to both AAW2 and AAW. It had built-in wireless android auto in the software itself, but... it was not the most user friendly to use. Finding support was tad difficult, and it didn't help that the devs were busy cooking up AAWireless, so reaching out was tough as well. The app worked, but was slow, unreliable, unresponsive, and crashed pretty frequently. And since the app was pretty much abandoned so they can focus on developing AAWireless (at least to my knowledge), the app got worse as it couldn't keep up with newer phones/OS's. Hence my slight hesitation with this product. Now fast forward 5 years in a new car that came with cabled AA. I did miss having wireless android auto, as it was convenient when it worked. So I was skeptical, but I took the plunge with AAW2. And I'm pretty happy to report my experience with AAWireless Two has been night and day when compared to the old HUR days. It's much faster, fluid, super user-friendly, and stable. Comparing to a cabled connection, wireless AA is much more responsive and overall, a better experience, minus the slight phone battery drain. Luckily my car has multiple outlets for this so I can charge when needed. The customizability of the UI is a plus as well (was possible in HUR but had to reset headunit each time. Much easier with AAW2 companion app). Connection time seems to vary I would say, it's usually ready to go by the time my headunit finishes its wake-up sequence (~20-25 secs for me). If you are hesitant, just do it.

Buttery smooth in operation but takes about 30 seconds to power up
It works well and the packaging is small and hardly wasteful. Once connected the audio plays smoothly and the navigation is smooth and is better than the carlinkit with less delay. Setup is pretty easy to do. You just connect it to Bluetooth and you can use you android auto or carplay. The one thing I don't like is that it tries to connect 3 to 4 times and takes about 30 seconds to connect the phone to Android auto from being plugged into the USB port. Compared to the Carlinkit wireless android auto receiver it much slower than the carlinkit one which connects in about 15 seconds when plugged into the USB port. Also fair warning to people is some cars can still supply power to the USB port on the car when it is off and it will connect your phone back to the car through android auto if you are in range of your car.

Easy setup, no problems using it
Started looking into getting a wifi adapter for using android auto in my car so I could get rid of the USB cable. Saw that the previous version of this device had some good reviews, with several reviewers noting that a new version was due out before the end of the year and it was supposed to be even better. So I went to the AAWireless site and signed up to get notified when it was available. Bought it the day I got the email notification. After it showed up, it took me all of 5 minutes to get it synced to my phone and have Android Auto on the infotainment screen, but this time no wires. I'm using a Pixel 7 Pro in a 2016 Ford Focus ST. Plugged the device into the USB port in the storage area under the arm rest. Keeps it out of the way and hidden, but reachable if I ever need to hit the button on it. It's so small it fits easily with the other stuff I keep in that compartment. Then: Downloaded the AA Wireless app Started the car Ran the app and went through the bluetooth syncing/setup process in just a couple minutes WiFi came up, phone connected to it Car asked if I wanted to use the new device and run Android Auto, select yes The map and music apps come up and it even resumes playing the song from where it left off earlier Done No muss no fuss. Later I added my wife's phone to it (same model as mine) since my son's been using her car lately and she's been driving mine more. Again, less than 5 minutes. And in case it gets confused over whose phone should be in control when we're both in the car, you can hit the button on it to switch to another synced phone. That worked perfectly. Using the app I also configured it to just always connect to the last device it was connected to. This also works perfectly. When we're both in the car, whoever was driving/using android auto last (usually me) gets connected. Get back in after shopping/dining/whatever, same device gets connected. When she goes to use the car without me, her phone just immediately connects. If we're both in and I'm driving after she used it last, it will connect to her phone, but she just opens the arm rest compartment, hits the button, and it's my AA now. Another nice surprise was how quickly it connects. The reviews i read of using a wireless adapter all mentioned how most would take up to a few minutes to get connected once you start the car. The AAWireless TWO is usually connected and AA is up and running before I put the car in reverse. If you add the time it used to take to plug in the USB cable (and sometimes fish it out after it got stuck under the seat or wrapped around something on the dash) and then place the phone in the holder, I think this device is actually faster. I ended up replacing my old spring-loaded claw type phone holder with a magsafe one, so now I just get in, stick the phone to the mount, start the car and everything just works. No tangled cables, no waiting for everything to connect. Couldn't be happier with it.

This is a fantastic little device! I love it.
I've been using the AAWireless Two for just over two months now. In January I purchased a 2024 Toyota Camry, and it's infotainment console supports Android auto, but only wired. This device solves that by making that functionality wireless. This device has been perfect for the last two months too. After setting it up it has worked flawlessly. It just works. You turn on your car, and in about 10 or so seconds Android auto activates and your phone is connected. It has worked every time. I was able to add my wife's phone too. If you both of your phones are near the car, it will connect to the last connected phone first. Which is nice. Just make sure your phone isn't near the car if the second person and their phone is going to be using the car. Pressing the button on the device does switch devices, but I found that aspect to be a little finicky. Easier to just let it connect to the second phone while your phone is out of range. I drive this car 99% of the time, so I almost always want it to connect to my phone regardless. But again, if both of the registered phones are in the car, the AAWireless Two will connect to the last device it was connected to. I found it pretty easy to set up. Downloading the companion app on to your phone makes using this a breeze. Updating it has been just as easy. I bought some velcro dots and stuck it on the AAWireless Two so that it sticks to my car near the USB port. The button on the device turns blue once it is connected to your phone. For anyone wondering, when it is dark, the light isn't bright and not distracting at all. Overall I love the AAWireless Two. It was easy to set up, and has worked flawlessly ever since. It just works. You can just forget about it, and get the added convenience of wireless Android Auto in your car. I really do love this thing and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for this particular solution to a "wired" only car. Thanks for reading my review!

AA stands for absolutely amazing!!!🤓
Works flawlessly. Exactly as described. Instructions are clear and precise. The unit was set up and running in less than 5 minutes. Make sure you download the companion app to your phone prior to setup. No more ruining your phone from having to plug it in and out of the car if your driving all day for work.

Worth the upgrade! The app fixed my battery drain issues.
I am so jazzed about how much better this is than the cheap, generic adapters. I finally upgraded to the AAWireless TWO after my old dongle gave me endless pairing loops and literally helped kill my car battery. Setup was super easy—took less than two minutes. I just downloaded the app, plugged it in, held the button for 2 seconds, and it took over. The absolute best part is the app's 'Auto-standby' feature. My car (Hyundai Santa Fe) keeps the USB port powered even after it's turned off and locked. With my old dongle, it would stay on and auto-connect to my phone while I was just doing yard work near the driveway. Super annoying. With Auto-standby turned on, this new dongle knows to put itself to sleep as soon as my car's Bluetooth drops. One quick heads-up for setup: When you first toggle Auto-standby on in the app, the dongle will immediately disconnect. It alarmed me at first, but don't panic! Just shift your car out of Park. That forces the car's Bluetooth to wake up, the dongle reconnects instantly, and you're good to go until you turn the car off. No more dead batteries, no more phantom connections. Worth every penny!
