Gave the room more elegant appeal. Low profile, yet more elegant. Love that it has metallic mirror shine back plate instead of showing off part of the ceiling inside the crystal ring. Makes it richer, but stillndoes not overpower the decor of the room. Light is pretty strong on its highest setting, which I like when i need to do some work. It's not too big, so I didn't think ot would be that bright. It's a bonus in my opinion.
