I’ve been contemplating about upgrading to the latest Paperwhite for several weeks. My old standard Kindle 10th generation is alive and well, even the battery still lasts weeks. I was trying to be e-waste cognizant, thinking that I don’t really need to change, etc. But with the Thanksgiving promotion, I decided to pull the trigger. … Feels like a step-change! Haven’t noticed any drawbacks yet, frankly. Despite some reviews I did not notice any un-uniformity of the light. Warm light is a huge difference for you eyes if you like to read in the dark. The loading speed and page turning finally feels like more or less modern technology, not the XX-century. It’s swift, almost no delay and even has slight animation). Wireless charging! You can now charge almost everything on the single q-charger. USB-C is also there and charges very fast, mine went from 41% to 87% in ~20 minutes. The screen is noticeably crisper, pictures are finally pictures, not a blurred grey spot. Oh, and don’t worry about the size-the difference is there, but I’d call it negligible. I went for the Signature edition, as the price difference is not that high. If you’re still hesitating, don’t! You won’t regret it!

This kindle truly surpassed my expectations. I upgraded from a 7th gen Kindle Paperwhite (2015) and I have to say that it's so amazing compared to my older Kindle. The display is so much larger in person and the new paperwhite is somehow lighter! The battery so far seems decent, it's really easy to buy and download books. I would 100% recommend this kindle to someone who has never had one. It really reduces the friction of reading a book and makes you enjoy it a lot more. The device is very light, thin and is perfectly portable with a nice crisp display and backlight in yellow and white too, but would recommend a case as it can probably get scratched easily.

Excellent delivery service, fast, efficient, and well-packaged. The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (32 GB) is a solid, premium device and extremely easy to use. Setup was quick, the screen is crisp, and overall it’s a fantastic upgrade. Highly recommended!

I mean it made me into a reading addict. One of the best piece of tech that I ever seen.

I really like it! Started reading lots of books after I bought it which is good for people who get bored from books. Only problem is the updates, which might be annoying as some of them have bugs. Overall its good:)

It's my second Kindle and I always have to recommend them! Much better than Paperwhite 4 ver. I am still waiting to add more dictionaries, but other than that perfect! Also price on UAE amazon is crazy good in comparison to different countries, just take it and be happy with all the books that you can read!

I LOVE MY NEW KINDLE!! Its significantly and instantly noticeably heavier than my older Kindle so I no longer have to worry about it being swept away by a breeze while I’m reading which is a relief as I have weaker hands than I used to and don’t want to get up and run around the yard chasing my Kindle when all I want to do is read. Its also HEAPS OF FUN to use because its not like my old 4th Gen Kindle that required only one hand to use and could only be used to download and read books, but this new Kindle has HEAPS of really cool menu’s to navigate including flip from the top and flip from the bottom menus so YOU ALWAYS NEED TO INVEST TWO HANDS TO USE like flipping a page or going back to your home screen or into your library and selecting a new book which is WAY MORE FUN because is feels as if you were playing some sort of game on an iPad which is super awesome because I really love playing on the iPad. The other thing I love about it is that it uses a lot of power so it means you always need to remember where it is so you can keep an eye on it while it charges which is super fantastic because I don’t like leaving it places and then forgetting about it and then I’m afraid that I might get bored of reading because I forgot where it was and no longer feel like reading. So yeah, all round I’m just so super happy with my investment of $400 for this kindle because its heavier, more fun, more interactive, requires both hands to operate at all times and uses more power because its more powerful and therefore better. Keep bringing out more fantastic and better kindles Amazon. May I personally recommend introducing a new line each and every single year because a device that is used to download and read books is important to stay abreast of that latest technological developments lest it should fall behind and not be able to display books one day. Thanks heaps Amazon and keep up the super amazing work and please provide a link where I would be able to deposit funds as a way of saying thank you.

I upgraded from the 2018 model (shows how indestructible these things are) and this newer model is essentially the same but crucially faster. I immediately notice the page swipe is quicker and there's no lag when shopping. If you're upgrading, you'll notice the size difference. I have small hands and I think I'll need a strap for this model. I was worried about the weight increase as I read my kindle a lotttt but it's barely noticeable. If you're new to paper white, I'd say it's the best model of the kindle range. No glare, no unnecessary colours, doesn't keep you awake like other screens and the brightness and text size adjustments are ideal - lots of range to find what's right for you.And as mentioned, they're indestructible. I've never used a case and my previous model has been around the world for 8 years. Comparison photos of paper white 10th gen / 2018 and the new model. Como primeiro e-reader, o Amazon Kindle está me surpreendendo muito positivamente. Em apenas 3 dias de uso, já percebi um conforto enorme na leitura, principalmente em comparação ao celular. Nos últimos tempos eu estava sentindo meus olhos muito cansados lendo diretamente na tela do telefone, e a experiência no Kindle é completamente diferente: a tela é muito mais agradável, menos agressiva e dá vontade de passar horas lendo sem aquele desgaste visual constante. A bateria também me impressionou bastante. Mesmo mexendo bastante nesses primeiros dias, baixando livros, sincronizando, configurando e explorando funções, o consumo continua ótimo. Dá para perceber que, depois da fase inicial de adaptação e downloads, ela deve durar ainda mais. Além disso, a experiência de leitura parece muito mais imersiva e confortável. O fato de ser leve, prático e focado apenas em leitura ajuda muito na concentração e reduz distrações. Para quem nunca teve um e-reader antes, acho o Kindle um excelente produto de entrada: simples de usar, confortável e com uma experiência muito superior à leitura no celular.
