These do not plug in. You simply unscrew the top, remove and discard the seal, and replace the top. The scent enters the air as the moisture in the filling evaporates.

What is the best smell of all scents?

I like the Cool and Clean scent. It does exactly what the name implies.

If the question is how long will each air freshener last, the answer is approximately thirty days. It’s pretty strong if you remove the full paper from the top. So, I lift the paper part about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way and a light, pleasant fragrance filters out and smells wonderful. I enjoy this one with the blue letters, but I love the fragrance of the one with purple letters that has a lavender fragrance. I have them in my three bathrooms and in my laundry room, with two in my garage.

How long does it take for these to work?

I work right away but they don't last long.
