In other words, to lift 26.96 lbs, you put in the effort of 1 lbs. **Q: how long is the chain, have a very high ceiling and need to know if it will reach the ground.** A: I have it hanging on a chain in a tree. From that chain to the ground is 10 feet 4 inches. fully down the chain hook is 11 inches from the ground. so that would be around 9 foot 10 inches from top to bottom Hope that helps. **Q: Can I attach the top hook to a support bar that may be 2" in diameter. If not, what is the largest support bar the hoist can work with?** A: Best I can tell is 1 inch is about it. It's that easy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More than a shop tool. *by W***T on July 7, 2020* I used this, paired with a Boss Buck Tripod Header II Unit with Pulley, to pull bushes. (I know, I know... the tripod is only rated for a ton, but it proved to be much stronger.) I'm pleased with the performance so far, after three lilacs. I put 1 ΒΌ" galvanized pipe on the tripod for legs, capped off with floor flanges. The whole arrangement survived my 190 lb weight on the pull chain, several times. I'm learning as I go, finding that you have to wet the ground a day ahead of time to loosen things up. Then you take a half-inch pipe attached to a garden hose to wash a little chipmunk tunnel under the bush. ...Much easier than beating a hole through with a rod. Then you pull a piece of hanger wire attached to a light chain, which is followed by your heavier chain or cable (with only one hook). Pull it completely through under the root ball. Hook your heavier chain/cable to the hoist, and pull slowly.
