I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with TP-Link's customer support team regarding the Tapo C410. To put it bluntly, the customer service I received was not just disappointing—it was utterly appalling. The level of incompetence demonstrated by the support staff was astonishing. Not only did they fail to resolve my issue, but their lack of professionalism and courtesy was staggering. Instead of offering helpful solutions, the support team seemed completely unprepared to handle basic troubleshooting inquiries. Communication was vague, dismissive, and, frankly, rude. Their lack of product knowledge was glaring, and it became painfully clear that their training—if any—was grossly inadequate. This is not the kind of service one should expect from a company that claims to be a leader in the networking and smart home sector. What is even more frustrating is the complete disregard for customer satisfaction. It became evident that TP-Link has no real processes in place for addressing concerns. Rather than taking responsibility for the malfunctioning product or attempting to resolve the issue in a timely manner, their team resorted to passing the buck and offering nothing more than scripted, irrelevant responses. It is beyond me how a company of this size, with such a widely recognized brand, can allow its customer support to be this embarrassingly subpar. This experience has been a glaring example of TP-Link’s failure to recognize the importance of customer relations. Frankly, it feels as though they have zero regard for the customers who keep them in business. In conclusion, TP-Link’s customer service is nothing short of disastrous. If you value your time and sanity, I highly recommend avoiding not only the Tapo C410 but any product that might require support from this dysfunctional and unprofessional team. TP-Link, take note—your customer support is a reflection of your company, and it's an absolute embarrassment.

I like Tapo cameras however, for this C410 camera I am surprised that it does NOT support the WPA3 secure authentication standard which is a basis feature that all security devices MUST support. Another setback was that it took long time configure after 7 tries it worked but it is still very slow and there is no software update available. Also the 30 days free cloud storage trial does NOT load at all... it just keeps looping... Never experienced this kind of issue with any of our Tapo Cams that we are using for 5 years

Yes but you have to know the sensor must be 2 meters height and in a specific angle 10 20 check copilot and set the sensivity to 10. If you only want to see the grass growing any size is good I really like the addition of the sunpanel. Make sure you have a very good wifi connection i mean ensure the distance is not to far. For false positives resize the window screen to your needs. The recording to the 128 GB microssd Samsung class 2 is perfect you need to purchase this seperate. So my battery is always 100 percent due to solarpanel no cloud subscribtion and easy to share with your partner value for money.

Good product but can't record all times.

Die Einrichtung klappte problemlos innerhalb weniger Minuten in der Tapo App. Die Kamera wurde sofort erkannt. Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass eine ausreichende W-LAN Verfügbarkeit am vorgesehen Außenplatz zur Verfügung steht (die Signalstärke wird in der App angezeigt) Da ich kein Stromkabel verlegen wollte, habe ich mich für den Betrieb über das Solarpanel entschieden. Bei genügend freier Sicht und dem richtigen Winkel zum Himmel, lädt die Kamera zuverlässig auf. Bei mir war die Akkuleistung - auch bei bedecktem Himmel - bisher kaum unter 90-100%. Die Bildqualität ist super und je nach gewünschter Einstellung selbst nachts in Farbe möglich. Über die Tapo-App kann man alle gewünschten Parameter übersichtlich und bequem einstellen. Zum speichern der Aufnahmen, habe ich mir direkt eine SD Speicherkarte mitbestellt, die man nur in den vorgesehen Platz einstecken muss. Da ich bereits mehrere Tapo Kameras für den Innenbereich nutze und auch mit diesen Geräten sehr zufrieden bin, ist die Außenkamera eine zuverlässige Ergänzung für die persönliche Sicherheitsvorsorge. Ich habe das Gerät jetzt seit 2 Monaten im Einsatz ohne jegliche Probleme. Mein persönliches Fazit: Für den relativ günstigen Preis, bekommt man hier mit der Tapo C410 eine sehr gut verarbeitete, zuverlässige Außenkamera mit klasse Bildqualität. Top 😊👍

Very good camera and quality of video . It’s easy to mount on the wall outside and install the app. It has 30 days free trial or 37 euros yearly subscription which is not a lot . The camera does its work and the solar panel is very handy . No need to connect with different indoor cables or look for a place to let them in from outside .
