Ekte Gjetost Norwegian Brown Cheese 500g - Crafted from 100% Goat's Milk and Cream from Great British Trading

The packaging is also worthy of mention as the seller ensured the block of cheese was chilled upon arrival. Very impressed. The cheese itself is a delicious caramelised flavour - quite unique. I absolutely adore this cheese and am delighted I now know where I can buy it from a reputable supplier.

Up to usual high standard

I like that this is made with 100% goats milk, the other equally nice similar cheese on Amazon is made with both cows and goats milk, this cheese is less sweet an a little more creamy, I like both products equally, however it is useful for customers with allergy's to cows milk to know the above.

This is the genuine Norwegian brown goat cheese made from goat milk and goat cream as we have eaten in Norway. It arrived in a pack containing cooling sacs. e love the taste but others may not; it's not like other cheeses. Unlike the half cow half goat Norwegian cheeses it is not over sweet. I doubt you can gat better Norwegian goat cheese than this.

I bought this for cooking, and it was fine. I did not like the slightly goaty taste when I tried it uncooked, I shall in future check for origin of the milk,

Ekte geitost (real Geitost) is the Norwegian cheese made with 100% goat milk. Brunost is made with a mix of cow and goat milk and is milder. Ekte Geitost is strong and unique and like Marmite you will probably either love it or hate it. We love it.

I got hooked on this stuff in Sweden, and every few years start to hanker for rye crispbread spread with tomato puree and covered in thin slices of brown goat's cheese. Thanks Amazon for pandering to my foibles.
