It was too bright on installation. I wrote to the vendor and they provided a prompt response and a perfect replacement. Very happy overall. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An impressively complete LCD screen kit *by S***E on May 1, 2025* If you have an old IPad with dead pixels or lines, this is for you. Note that this is just the LCD screen which sits under the top glass and does not include the glass itself. If your glass is shattered and/or your finger no longer tracks on the screen, you'll need additional parts like a front glass and a digitizer.I've bought a number of these kits and I appreciate when they're as complete as this one; in addition to the digitizer unit itself, there are cleaning pads, protective gloves (more to protect the electronics than you), a suction cup to remove the front glass, torx screwdrivers and plenty of plastic guitar pick-like pieces to help you separate the glass. There's even some glue to use to re-secure all the pieces that you unstick from the case.There's an instruction manual, but as with all of these repair jobs I suggest going to YouTube and watching a few videos until there's one that is of the difficulty level and clarity that you need. Some of the parts are extremely delicate, so take if very slow.I appreciated the care with which this was packaged to protect the delicate screen. In my case, the screen lit up beautifully without any dead zones or dead pixels. I did see some fingerprints on the unit, so I'm not sure if this was really a new unit or one pulled from another device. But the most important thing is that it worked.One thing I would suggest is to shop around local repair shops. In my case, I found that a local shop replaced LCDs for my model of iPad costs $80, which as of this writing is only $10 more than this part costs. If you have an option like that, I'd suggest going with that.
