RUSH - 2112 IN CONCERT THE LEGENDARY RADIO BROADCAST DIGITALLY REMASTERED ON VIOLET VINYL! This is the digitally re-mastered version of Rush performing their classic 2112 suite and broadcasting live during the Permanent Waves tour. For many, this is the classic performance with the band at the pinnacle of their progressive pomp phase. Also featured are live gems from the albums Permanent Waves' and 'A Farewell To Kings' including the classic 'Spirit Of Radio ' and an astonishing live rendition of 'Xanadu'. The virtuoso trio certainly don't disappoint in the live arena and neither does the sound quality from this FM broadcast, which is superb - and the digital re-mastering takes it to another level. The band were clearly on form by this point of the tour. Definitely worth a listen for every Rush fan out there, you certainly won't be disappointed. Track Listing: Side A 1. The Spirit Of Radio 2. 2112 Part I: Overture 3. 2112 Part II: The Temples Of Syrinx 4. 2112 Part III: Discovery 5. 2112 Part IV: Presentation 6. 2112 Part V: Soliloquy 7. 2112 Part VI: Grand Finale Side B 1. Natural Science 2. Xanadu Review: Pure gold! - For a radio broadcast, this is a great addition to my collection, sound is near perfect, great value collection, pleasantly surprised with this 1!!! Review: Stunningly tight and dynamic set from Rush. - I bought this record because of its low price and of course, I'm a fan. I didn't really hold out much hope that it would be a quality item. On receiving the record my concerns were reinforced as the cover and vinyl are both on the thin side. The vinyl itself is purple, with glitter embedded, a sure recipe for surface noise and poor sound quality. When I lowered the stylus into the run in groove I was surprised to be met with near silence, a good start I thought. Then the music started. Ok, so this recording isn't going to win any prizes, the sound is somewhat muffled, with a rolled off treble but it's easy to listen past this as this is Rush at the absolute top of their game. The skill and musicianship on display here is amazing, my feet were tapping and I was singing along from the start. Despite the flaws in the recording noted above, the dynamic range is decently wide and the bottom end strong and articulate, giving the music real drive and weight. The soundstage is well defined , giving a good sense of the bands position during the performance. In conclusion, if you're a Rush fan, this record is a fine addition to your collection, showcasing, as it does, the band at the absolute hight of their powers. Combined with the reasonable price it's a no brainer.

Top class !
To be honest this was a bit of a punt at £14.99 but this a brilliant piece of vinyl . The sound is great and the band are on top form. No point in going track by track if you are reading this you know them anyway, but if you like Rush and vinyl get this - highly recommended .

great but crap damaged goods
Came in a huge typical amazon box, the factory seal was open, the sleeve was damaged and slightly buckled, utter garbage service, but the album is brilliant, looks great, and typical class rush soundboard transfer from Kiel Auditorium 12.2.80, rush sfter 1981 started to go downhill, i am an old school fan from 1974 - 1981 (moving pictures, after that...mehhh

Top quality live recoding from a great band
Played this record on a top quality turntable and it sounded great. Ged''s bass is very prominent in the mix. In fact better than the exit stage left live album. The music and playing is top drawer of course.

A beautiful vinyl!
A beautiful vinyl!!! Admittedly i was a little worried because it was a live concert on vinyl so i thought the sound quality wasn't going to be great... I was proved wrong and it sounds fantastic! It was very cheap and was delivered within a few days! A fantastic purchase that I am very happy with!

Consegna arrivata in anticipo.

I love the album, the cover and back cover, the color of the album disc, and the sound of Rush live in my home town, is KILLER. I was at this concert first row, so I love the fact that I home this rare purple album...THANK YOU!
