The driver side door stopped unlocking and I didn't think much of it until it wouldn't unlock manually and I had to start entering the car through the passenger side. Got this for a good price and mechanic was able to install it easily. Had it for a year now and works the same as the original.

Does not work well on a 2003 Toyota Camry! The Camry's lock ends in a metal stem that looks like a plus sign. One of the axes of the plus sign is thicker than the other and does not fit well into the actuator. After a few months, the actuator goes bad and the door lock does not shut properly or just opens for no reason. I took the actuator out and noticed that the casing opened and the guts fell out in the door. The casing should have been fused so that it could not pop open. Thought it was a bad actuator so got another one the same as the first. It lasted less than a month. I ended up returning the whole thing and got a rebuilt actuator made by Toyota but rebuilt it from the junkyard. It is working like clockwork!!!

Part fit as expected. And it worked once installed which is always a bonus. Watched a video on youtube that easily explained how to take off door panel, disconnect the cables and remove old unit. New unit popped right in. Sealed the door back up and tested. All within one hour (football was on so had to go check on scores a few times). As other said, much better than $600 quote to have a shop do it for you.

My 2007 Toyota Corolla driver door gradually stopped working. It was intermittent for a couple of months and then finally stopped working. I purchased and installed this product and my door is working like new again. Entire job took me about an hour. It was a little tricky and snug to get the part out and back into the door. Glad to have a working door that I can lock again.

Part just seemed lesser quality than original one . However the fitment was perfect and it functions very well . Definitely worth it for the price .

Working perfectly, easy to install.

Easy to install, but the lock does not completely unlock. My lock had completely went out and had to manually lock-unlock door. I purchased this unit to replace OEM lock during summer break.. once I finished the lock will lock but won't unlock, just need a little extra push to unlock. After disassembling again and inspected I noticed the lever lock kinda hangs up, but can push a little harder to move the lever. Since it's too late to return, I'll be ordering a different brand.

See the photos for side by side. It feels a bit cheaper than the original unit, but at 1/6 the cost, I'm okay with it, especially in an older Lexus which i don't care to invest too much into. Note: People complained that the lock tumbler does fit well with the new door actuator assembly (pic 3). It DOES need to be "caressed" into place, but it will work. It works great, locks/unlocks as you'd expect. Definitely recommend, time will tell how long this lasts in contrast to OEM. And I doubt I'll have the car for another 15yrs. 😝

Fit no problems and still working, apparently there is a difference between the Japan built car which mine is, no issues with fitment and performance.
