Liquidraw A1 Drawing Board with Parallel Motion Bar - 35 x 25in

I bought this for making larger format technical drawings, partly because I enjoy drawing by hand and partly because I can't afford an A2 printer.It's good, and worth the money. Given the large size the various adjustment angles are very useful and the board stays firmly in place once set to the desired angle. It is of course a bulky and heavy object but for a reliable drawing surface you pretty much need these things - it's won't slide around when you move the rule, for example.Some reviewers have commented on the parallel rule. This is actually adjustable, and for good reason. Suppose you have made a draft drawing in pencil on paper and you want to make a good copy on tracing paper with ink (to avoid showing traces of construction lines and, of course, evidence of the draughtsman's mistakes being rubbed out). You might do this later and have to re-mount the original pencil drawing. The parallel rule allows a modest degree of adjustment so you can make it parallel with a horizontal line on your re-mounted drawing. This saves messing about with masking tape dots and so on, which quickly gets frustrating.The brake controls are at the sides of the rule and on top at the ends are two more small wheels. These lock the parallel adjustment. What you do is line up with the line to which you want to be parallel, release the brake, and loosen the two knobs on the top of the rule. There is a bracket on either end of the rule behind the brake knobs, you can move this to make fine adjustments and get your rule parallel with the drawn line. Once adjusted, tighten (gently) the knob again and if necessary do this on both sides of the board, then don't touch them until you're finished. This is explained in the instruction leaflet that comes with the board, or at least came with mine.Never over-tighten but make sure the knobs are securely screwed down. If you over-tighten the brake the rule can shift out of parallel - just nipped up to stop it sliding is enough.Overall, a good, solid product which does what it is supposed to do without problems. Unlike a large format inkjet printer, it easily folds up for storage out of the way.

Great item, fast delivery

I’m very happy with this sturdy piece of kit. It does what it says, but I’d say the adjustable ruler takes some getting used to. Once you do, it’s a great piece of kit.

Good drawing board, easy to use and set up. Smooth operation.

Looks great. Several adjustable angles and whilst reasonably accurate, not perfect. Had to take the straight edge off to clean and found screws where at angles, heads damaged and to make them level (so as not to tear paper when in use) one screw had been filed/ground down and others damaged slots. Thus making it impossible to remove screws. How this can pass QC, simple: obviously no quality control in place. Another poor quality Chinese made product.

I bought this A2 drawing board for my daughter, who’s an architecture student, and she was absolutely thrilled with it! The quality is fantastic, and the stand is sturdy and well-designed, making it ideal for long study sessions. It’s easy to adjust, and the size is perfect for her projects. She’s been so happy using it—it’s a great investment for anyone studying or working in design!

This drawing board is suitable for paper sizes up to A2. It's easy to use and the paper is secured to the board with slide in plastic clips. There are several working heights which provide different options. A additional set square is provided for laying out vertical lines. I am very pleased with this product - it's robust yet comfortable to use.
