Pros: ●It smoothes complexion out, making fine lines less noticeable. It's not magic, so deep wrinkles only soften slightly. ● Didn't cause any skin irritation or breakouts. ● Stays put along with foundation. I use minimal foundation, and not all over. I can apply this to areas without foundation and it works just as well. Cons: ●It is sticky/tacky. Even after drying it feels like there is a light coating on the skin. ●It is difficult to spread/apply *see workarounds below. *I partially solved this by mixing 2/3 moisturizer with 1/3 primer. I only use 1-2 pea size drops of primer. I apply it only in areas that need smoothing or hold for foundation. I use my fingers, but have success with a beauty blender as well. It works well to tap and press with a beauty blender not try to rub it in. I apply a small amount to my upper lip as it actually hides those lines! Bottom line: I will buy it again. Just have to adjust how I use it. I think if you use this on it's own without moisturizer, and use more than I do, you could get a very smooth look, but be prepared to feel as though you have spackle on your face.

As someone who doesn't wear makeup often but when I do I want to use the best, I was pleasantly surprised by this primer. It's silicone-free, which is perfect for my dry skin. I do not need extra things drying me out or caking on. The texture is lightweight and smooth, creating a nice base for makeup without feeling heavy. It also doesn't run in the heat, which is a godsend here in the South. What I appreciate most is that it keeps my makeup in place all day without smearing onto my clothes or my husband. Definitely will keep buying this!

I don't review much, but this primer is exceptional. It's thick and sticky, but it's lightweight and unnoticeable when you apply your foundation. The way it holds foundation is as if you glued it on! I have even fallen asleep in my makeup a couple times and it's still perfectly in place in the morning. I don't advocate for sleeping in makeup, but it definitely shows how long lasting this stuff is. Also, my skin is pretty textured due to acne scaring and this is the best primer I've used to give my skin a less textured, more flawless and airbrushed look. It's water based, so make sure your foundation is too and you'll get the same results I do.

Incredible primer that prepares the face for an all-day coverage experience. I have extremely sensitive skin that is highly reactionary. So throughout the years, I have tried many different cosmetic brands, ranging from affordable to luxury...this product is FAR superior to all... I live in the southwest where temperatures can exceed 120 degrees during the summer, making wearing makeup uncomfortable, difficult to maintain throughout the day, and highly irritating to the skin. However, this product, when used in conjunction with the Dermablend makeup line, allowed me to wear makeup flawlessly throughout the day, and without irritation. Note: Wait until the product completely dries before applying makeup. AND, I recommend removing it when in the shower. This will ensure all of the product is removed, decreasing your chances of irritation.

I bought this after getting suckered in on an ad discussing Lily Tomlin's gorgeous look in "Grace & Frankie". While I am decades younger, I am seeing the beginning signs of aging and figured why not? I was mostly interested in this product for the "lift". Several reviewers called it "face lift in a bottle". I don't get it. I felt nothing remotely close to that. I felt nothing except a little bit sticky until it dried. All that said, I WILL give it credit for "gripping" the makeup. We have had sweltering days here and I have been sweating like crazy, wearing masks, etc...and my make up not only looks pretty damn good...but overall better than days when I don't wear this primer. So, I do think it helps make up stay on and gives an overall dewy or slightly glowing complexion. I came for the lift, but I'll gladly take the dewy complexion and longlasting make up.

Definitely for acne prone individuals!! This primer is liquid base means you need a liquid foundation. I use CC cream from dermablend, which is also a liquid. Both product did not break me out and the cc cream was applied smoothly with the primer which created a nice glowy base. There no smell, it was grippy, and it held my cc cream all day. You will break out if you do not double cleanse your face at the end of the day after using your product. So make sure use a cleansing oil and wash it off with your normal cleanser!! But overall this primer didn’t make my liquid cream patchy or dry. Side note: make sure do your face routine! apply your face products/moisturizer before applying make up.

If you want a primer that also reduces pores this is for you. Yes, this applies thick. And can be sticky before it dries. But once it’s on you have a great primer for any other product. Since it is much thicker than others, it won’t be absorbed by your skin throughout the day. Which is perfect to hide pores. It’s clear and not shiny at all. Try it out, I’m confident you’ll love it!
