Exo Terra NANO Monsoon Mist System

I'm basing my 5 star review on this being a basic system, so if you want something fancy you might want to look at something that's a bit more expensive. We wanted/needed a system to mist our crested gecko's enclosure and this seems to do the trick (both the gecko and the plants in the vivarium are still alive and well). It's not "smart" as such, but you can set the spraying intervals and length of spray time, but we've left it at the default setting of a 10-second spray every 12 hours. You will need to provide your own reservoir and we're currently using a milk bottle. It was slightly fiddly to get the spray jets set up but now they seem to be pointing in the right direction. All in all, I'd say it is a solid, basic unit.

Four stars because the system itself seems to be working well 6 weeks after purchase, but by gum I was perplexed as to how to install it, so its lost a star! There were no instructions with the item that explained which bit was which in terms of the pipes etc. I tried the QR code but that didn't have any installation instructions really either., just nuggets of information, nothing to show clearly how you put it all together or set up the controls. They need to provide a video to explain how to put it all together/set the controls. I trolled the internet and could only find one sped up video by a reptile enthusiast showing their installation of the product... not very helpful as it was too fast.... in the end I just had to guess - I guessed well it seems and its been a godsend during our absence keeping our little crestie at the right humidity. Maybe its not rocket science putting it together but a quick video link to show which pipes and nozzles go where/suggestions for water receptacles (I ended up using two 2L empty fizzy drink bottles for the water source btw. when the one being used gets low we fill up the second one and just do a straight swap to avoid too much water mess) would make the whole installation process much less nerve wracking for the human involved (water and electricity together are always fun) and less stressful for the little creature(s) in the tank (whom you have to disturb to get the pipes/nozzles in and set up. NOTE for owners of exoterra vivariums with foam backings you will have to carve notches into the foam backing to get the pipes into the tank after feeding them through the holes at the back. just saying!

Pump does not work, either it will not pump at all or randomly pumps and empties entire 2l reservoir. Not cheap and for some species a pretty critical factor. A pity as super size and dual nozzle system helpful. I have one that has worked fine before.

Nice and easy to install and program, alot more powerful than I gave it credit for, about to order a second for my next project

Works as it should …. Problem is with the amount of tubing you receive with the product …. If you buy more make sure it’s soft and durable because the fittings won’t work with normal irrigation pipe.

This does the job well in my 45 x 45 xc 60 terrarium with the pipe going into a 4 pint bottle. I only use one of the two spray nozzles as it covers a large area. If i use both supplied nozzles it also sprays the glass sides and I end up with water marks. I can't use pure water as Mr Ghekko needs the minerals in treated tap water. It would get a 5th star if the pressure was adjustable. You can adjust the spray width to some degree, but you can't adjust the pressure. If anything it's overkill for a normal set up.

I ordered one from eBay and it came broken. So I took a chance on this. Glad I did. Does exactly what it's supposed to

Buen producto compacto. Cumple con lo prometido, la nebulización es fina. La única pega es que se puede programar para eu nebulice cada ciertas horas y no permite hacer programas según horarios concretos y dejarlo apagado en otro. Por lo demás no falla

Les réglages ne tiennent pas. J'ai voulu le régler afin qu'il vaporise mes plantes tropicales 10 secondes par jour, il n'a cessé de se dérégler et les a arrosées au 4 ou 5 fois par jour pendant ma semaine d'absence. Quand je suis rentrée mes Nepenthes de collection avaient pourri, gorgés d'eau, taux d'humidité à 100% dans le terra. Première fois que je perds autant de plantes en si peu de temps, et c'est dû à un brumisateur défectueux. A fuir !

I love this little sprayer for my tropical plant terrarium. Two nozzles give good coverage and easily programmed for duration and intervals. I use demineralized water so as not to create residue

It’s absolutely the best for my red eyed tree frog it creates a sort of rainforest look and even better it’s basically a plug n play setup it’s super small but powerful and never failed to impress me.

Ich nutze das Exo Terra Monsoon Nano in meinem 60 x 90 x 60 cm großen Paludarium und bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Die Einrichtung war wirklich unkompliziert. Anschließen, konfigurieren und loslegen – echtes Plug-and-Play. Besonders positiv finde ich die Lautstärke. Die Pumpe arbeitet sehr leise, sodass das System im Alltag kaum auffällt. Die programmierten Beregnungszeiten werden zuverlässig eingehalten und die Pflanzen erhalten gleichmäßig Feuchtigkeit. Einen Wassertank bringt das Gerät nicht mit. Ich habe stattdessen einen separaten 5-Liter-Tank angeschlossen, was problemlos funktioniert und die Nachfüllintervalle angenehm verlängert. Seit der Inbetriebnahme läuft das System ohne Ausfälle oder andere Probleme. Gerade für Paludarien oder Terrarien, in denen eine konstante Luftfeuchtigkeit wichtig ist, nimmt die automatische Beregnung viel Arbeit ab. Für mich eine sinnvolle Anschaffung, die zuverlässig funktioniert und den Pflegeaufwand deutlich reduziert.
