Dream Reach Throwing Axe Set, 3-Pack High-Carbon Steel with Sheaths

My cousin work in the county and he is so happy with this. He use it almost for everything at work.

Perfectly balanced weight distribution, super sharp, and the handle is nicely designed for a smooth release when thrown.

This "axe" "tomahawk" "hachet" came chipped at the tip of the blade. As well as being dull put of the box. It won't even stick into a wood block when swung let alone thrown like its supposedly is labeled as a "throwing axe". I bought this as a everyday use simple little hachet/tomahawk, but I can't even use it as is WITHOUT having to sharpen it myself. Also, upon further inspection when taking photos for this review, I have found the metal itself to riddled with pits as pictured above. This is not a well made high quality axe/hachet/tomahawk as described by the maker. It's just a cheap hachet/axe/tomahawk whatever u wanna call it with a high dollar price tag. I'd give it 0 stars but I'll settle for 1 since it did come with a handle at least.... And, don't expect a way to contact the seller to complain or inform them of an issue. I have found zero way to contact them given they are a chinese company.

The blades are sharp and stick. The handles break off and are not that great of quality.

I was looking for a cheap traditional friction fitted Tomahawk between $15-20 a piece. These came out to approximately $35 after taxes. Luckily they fit well in the LinkIdea sheaths. Cons: 1. Handles do not fit well, also do not feel durable. Dream Reach does not offer replacement handles. 2. Does not appear to be hand forged as advertised, seem to have been cast. 3. The finish on the eye is subpar there gaps inside and even with sanding existing handle or carving a new one it seems a good friction fit will not be possible. 4. Due to lack of any hammer poll, does not seem usable as a camp hatchet outside of splitting and chopping. Pros: 1. Has a usable edge out of the box. I am considering returning this product. I will be purchasing a Wicing Tomahawk to compare and hope the heads are similar enough not to warrant purchase of another set of sheaths.

Great little axes especially for the price. I wasn’t sure I would like a handle that short but it is really well balanced. I used a file and sand paper to clean up some forging imperfections on the heads. I rehafted one with a 30” handle. They both throw nicely and aren’t overly heavy like some cheaper axes.

The prodact amazing put Antifa picture or ICE protestor picture on the background and throw for sure you will hit each time first time .

Sieht aus wie auf den Fotos. Sitzt gut auf dem Stiel, da wackelt nix. Die Optik ist sehr gut. Scharf… scharf ist was anderes. Von Hand nachgeschärft, jetzt ist sie scharf. Die Schneide ist aber insgesamt gut und gleichmässig vorgeschliffen. Keine großen Korrekturen erforderlich, nur auf Schärfe abziehen.

Die Axt ist sehr gut verarbeitet und macht ihre Arbeit ausgezeichnet. Sie ist mit dem richtigen Winkel korrekt geschliffen und ich musste nichts nachschleifen. Ich benutze die Axt als Gebrauchsgegenstand für Holzarbeiten. Dabei sind Ersatz-Ringkeile, was ich als hervorragend bewerte. Der gerade Griff liegt optimal in der Hand. Der Gummischutz ist völlig ausreichend. Meine Empfehlung!

Gute Axt aber leider ist der Holzgriff defekt. Er ist gespalten. Der gehört aber nun mal zu einer guten Axt, ansonsten ist sie leider nicht wert. P.S. Nachtrag. Die Firma hat sich umgehend bei mir gemeldet und mir eine Rückerstattung angeboten. Top Service !!!

Die Schneide ist etwa 55-57HRC, scheint aber eine weiche Schicht zu haben, denn die Scheide wurde beim Schärfen härter. Man muss es auf alle Fälle erst schärfen. Aus der Box ist die Schneide extrem stumpf und mit etwa 40° pro Seite geschliffen (25-30° sind gut, für Schnitzäxte ~20°). Ich konnte es in etwa 5 Minuten am Bandschleifer mit 30° pro Seite rasierscharf machen, daher ist für mich am Stahl nichts auszusetzen (er sprüht auch schön Funken, daher hoher Kohlenstoffgehalt). Wurde beim Hacken auch nicht beschädigt. Es ist kein perfekt geformtes Beil, die Klinge hat dickere und dünnere stellen, aber das Gewicht und generelle Form sind super. Mit einem etwa 400g Kopf, damit leichter als die meisten Baumarktbeile (sind meistens ab 600g) hat aber gleichzeitig auch eine breitere Schneide da es dünn ist. Es ist daher eher ein Schnitz/Fällbeil als zum Spalten von Holz. Die Qualität is Naja... Ich hatte 2 und eine davon hatte einen verbogenen Griff und Astlöcher, der Kopf war auch schief aufgesetzt. Beide Köpfe waren wie gesagt relativ Beulig und Ungleichmässig. Es ist eindeutig kein CnC Produkt. Eines wurde beim Versand beschädigt, etwa 3mm einer Ecke der Klinge waren abgebrochen. Das ist aber nicht die Schuld des Herstellers, zeigt aber dass die Schneide hart ist. Das Beil ist leicht und ich finde es toll, es ist einem Vikingerbeil nachempfunden und ein Allzweckbeil, aber die Qualitätskontrolle ist nicht gut. Wenn ihr eines bekommt das krumm oder beschädigt ist aber ihr mögt es eigentlich, versucht es nocheinmal, wenn alles passt ist es ein super Beil. Ich weiss nicht wie bewerten da die Qualitätskontrolle einfach offensichtlich fehlt, wenn es passt 4,5 Sterne (Abzug da es offensichtlich eine decarburisierte Schicht gibt die man entfernen muss um zum guten Stahl zu kommen), 1,5 Sterne wenn der Griff nicht passt, an sich könnte man den Kopf verwenden aber das ist ja nicht Sinn der Sache wenn ich ein vollständiges Beil kaufe...
