Love it __ works well on determining which coin is metal ( instant fast attachment ) or Silver ( non stick ).

Small and compact it detects when jewelry is made out of a metal alloy or has any type of metal in it so it is great to determine if jewelry is real or fake.

This is a strong little magnet and it does not stick to silver.

This is definitely a super strong magnet! It works better than the slim bar shaped rare earth magnets I also bought to test some different coins for precious metals content. If you're coin is mostly silver, gold, or copper. This magnet won't attach to it. If it has any significant amount of any kind of steel or aluminum type alloy metals, it will attract to it in a very powerful manner! Between this rare earth magnet, and a pocket pinger. You can have a way to test for precious metals content for less than 35 dollars all together. If that's what you're looking for it's pretty awesome. If you just want a really strong magnet, it's good for that too. So I guess from my experience with this rare earth magnet, I have been pleased with the results. And would recommend it for what I've mentioned. I'm sure there are bigger, stronger magnets. But for the purposes I've mentioned, this one works just fine.
