Is the jar supposed to pop when you open it, mine didn’t. Would it smell off if it was bad?

Not all lids make the popping noise. If I didn't see evidence of leakage or mold i would think the lid was likely sealed correctly. Honestly it comes down to a judgment call on your part whether you believe it was sealed or not.

I love a peperoncini and yet, I only recently started buying them myself. I use this in salads, chopped into omelets (trust), and as part of sandwiches. Pair with some feta, dill, tomato, and cucumber, throw in some spinach, and you have something Mediterranean-adjacent. Great value, wonderful flavor, nice size bottle and just enough heat.
