A Game-Changer for Managing Kitchen Waste!
I recently started using this Electric Composter, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! From the moment I set it up, it has exceeded my expectations! First and foremost, the noise level is practically non-existent. You won’t even notice it running in the background—it’s that quiet! This makes it perfect for running overnight without any disturbances. The design is sleek, modern, and fits seamlessly on my kitchen counter, giving it a clean and high-tech look. What truly stands out is its versatility. It accepts almost everything we generate in a typical household kitchen—vegetable peels, fruit scraps, food leftovers, paper bags, cardboard, and other biodegradable items. It’s amazing how efficiently it handles all of this without any issues. Plus, the compost it produces is odour-free, making it incredibly convenient and hygienic to manage food waste. The product doesn’t heat up during operation, so I feel confident leaving it on the counter without any worries. The auto-cleaning feature is a lifesaver, and the dishwasher-safe bucket makes maintenance a breeze. No mess, no hassle, and no handling of unpleasant waste—just clean, easy composting. Overall, this Electric Composter has transformed the way I manage kitchen waste. It’s efficient, quiet, safe, and incredibly user-friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sustainable and hassle-free way to deal with food waste. Five stars from me!

Amazing - this electric composter is worth every single penny
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this little machine genuinely deserves one. The Ouaken electric composter has completely changed how I deal with kitchen waste. It’s tidy, fast, and surprisingly quiet - I honestly can’t imagine going back to a regular food caddy now (which I also bought from Amazon). It reduces waste dramatically and turns it into dry, odour-free compost in just a few hours. I was sceptical at first, but it actually works exactly as described. Even onion peels and leftovers are gone by the next morning. The smell control is excellent – no weird odours at all (carbon filter system clearly does its job) Build quality is solid and it looks quite smart on the counter, not like some bulky bit of equipment you want to hide away. Our kitchen is relatively small/moderate size so it was quite important that it's not bulky. The bucket lifts out easily and can go straight in the dishwasher, which makes it very handy. I also like that it tells you when the filter needs changing. It’s quiet enough to run at night (you can barely hear it), and it doesn’t give off any heat or steam. I’ve noticed my kitchen bin hardly needs emptying anymore, which feels great from both a convenience and environmental point of view. To conclude, it does exactly what it promises, and does it brilliantly. Super easy to use, very clean, no smell, no fuss. If you cook regularly and care about reducing waste, this is a fantastic buy. Highly recommend it.

Brilliant Addition to Any Kitchen
The Ouaken Electric Composter has completely changed how I deal with food waste. It’s compact and sleek, fitting perfectly on my countertop without taking up much space. Despite its small size, the 4L capacity is ideal for daily use and handles scraps from an entire day easily. What really stands out is how quiet and completely odorless it is. Even after using it today, there’s absolutely no smell — which is amazing. It runs so quietly that I can leave it on overnight and forget it’s even working. The 3-hour composting cycle is impressive. It quickly turns kitchen waste into dry, nutrient-rich fertilizer that I now use for my indoor and outdoor plants. The auto-cleaning feature is another huge plus — it keeps the inside fresh with minimal effort on my part. Using it is super easy — the buttons are clear, and the design feels premium. I also love knowing I’m reducing waste and helping the environment at the same time.

Good results
I’d grown tired of wrestling with those smelly food-waste liners, and by Tuesday the bin already smelt like last week’s curry. This little countertop composter arrived as a breath of fresh air, square and compact, about the size of our old bread-maker. It swallows roughly four litres of peelings, coffee grounds and the occasional eggshell without complaint. Tap the touch panel on the lid, the blades start whirring, and a tiny window lets you watch the shredding if you are that way inclined. The best surprises came first. A full cycle finishes in just under three hours and the hum is no louder than the fridge, so I often set it going after washing-up and forget about it until morning. The carbon filter genuinely works, my notoriously sensitive-nosed collie no longer sniffs around the kitchen bin. Cleaning is easy too - there is a rinse setting and the bucket pops straight into the dishwasher when it needs a proper scrub. All said, the machine feels solid, looks smart on the worktop, and the dry, earthy crumbs it produces have already perked up the soil in my raised beds. For a medium-sized family keen to keep food waste out of the wheelie bin, it has earned its place next to the kettle.

Excellent machine for the price, I would definitely recommend.
I have been looking for an electric composter for some time and was pleased to find this Ouaken at such a good price. I have used it on the ferment cycle twice and it makes excellent compost ready to use. It fits nicely in my small kitchen; is very quiet and has a self cleaning mode.

I will report back but so far better than expected
Absolutely game changer in the kitchen. Looks good solid build. Runs very quiet in the back ground and does a great job. It is early days, but it is my third type of composter. The other two did not perform this in the early days, nor did they last long less than a year. So I am hoping this one will last.

I’ve been using this 4L electric composter for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed. It’s super easy to use, fits perfectly on my countertop, and looks very clean and modern. I love that it’s completely odorless—even with food scraps inside, there’s no smell at all. The low noise level was a big surprise. I can run it during the day or even at night without it being annoying. It simple and effective! What I like most is how fast it turns food waste into dry compost that I can actually reuse as fertilizer. It makes me feel good knowing I’m reducing waste and doing something better for the environment without any extra effort. If you cook at home often and want a clean, smart, and convenient way to compost indoors, this machine is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend! Im loving!

I have wanted an electric composter for a long time, so I did research, read customer reviews and consumer reports before settling on the Ouaken electric composter. While there are a lot of options and brands available, I chose this one because of the many positive reviews, consumer reports, good price and features other brands do not have. The 4 litre bucket size is the largest I could find within a reasonable price range. I can fit a ton of kitchen scraps into it and only have to run the composter once to clean them all up. This model also has a self cleaning feature that I did not see in any other brand. The glass top allows you to view the composting process as it happens. It's amazing how quickly a full bucket of food scraps turns into a small amount of grounds at the bottom of the bucket. The composter is easy to set up and the instruction manual informative. I would have appreciated more information on what items can and cannot be used in the composter. They do not have a website with this information, but you can email their customer service if you have a question about a specific item. They respond quickly and are helpful. I have used the composter several times on various types of food scraps and each time it took between 3 and 4 hours to process a full bucket. The compost is consistently dry, clean and finely ground. There is no offensive smell. The composter turns off automatically when the process is completed. It's best to let it cool down before opening the lid, as it gets quite hot. You also want to sit your composter where it has open space all around it, for safety, given how hot it gets. I followed the recommendation to add browns to my greens for a well balanced compost. I have been using finely shredded paper from my paper shredder and it works perfectly. I've also added used paper towels and napkins, which also worked well. The machine is extremely quiet, even at night when there is no other noise. I saw in the customer reviews that some people complained about the lid not fitting. I do not see how it can be an issue, as you just need to line up the arrow and turn the lid to open and close it. The lid fits securely and is easy to operate. I had also read some people experienced the composter jamming. If you do not put unreasonably large chunks of food in the composter, it will not jam. I have not experienced any jamming, even with a full bucket. I have avoided putting in large items like apple cores or corn cobs. I do not eat meat, so I did not try to process bones. The composter has a warranty, so don't forget to follow the instructions in the manual and register your warranty by emailing the company your Amazon order number. I do not have any concerns or complaints about the composter. It has exceeded my expectations. The only quirk I have found is that when you open the lid, the power comes on automatically. This is helpful if you are going to use the machine at the time, but if you are just putting some scraps in there for later, you have to manually turn the machine off. Not a big deal, just a quirk I noticed. Overall, I highly recommend the Ouaken electric composter with the 4 litre bucket. I wish I had gotten this sooner, when I was canning food from my garden.

I have been using a composter for 4 years and unfortunately I had to purchase a replacement. I am very impressed with the Ouaken 4L composter. I held off on reviewing to make I tested the machine first. What I experienced: 1.It is compact - much smaller than my previous one but larger container. 2. easy to access with the top that is removable ( also easy to keep clean since the top can be washed). 3. Very little smell for a short bit then no smell while in operation - it’s so nice to not have a kitchen that smells while composting. I was skeptical but really no smell! 4. The 2 options to break down the food waste is great! I can decide when I need the really nutritious composte for plants and most of the time can use the crush mode since it’s a very eco/low energy mode. 5. Because the surface is smooth it is so easy to clean the outer body and I can easily wash the inner pail or use the clean option. 6. It works on my small kitchen! I recommend this composter - it reduces the impact on our environment and creates awesome plant compost!👍😁🌱🪴

Works way better than anticipated!! A 'full' bucket for me takes around 8 hours (never remember to accurately time it). I put in: egg shells, fruit and veg scraps (cut up bigger things like watermelon rind, lemons/orange peels), stale crackers/chips, coffee grounds, paper towel, meal leftovers, fridge leftovers that start to scare me. I have used it five times so far. Comes out as fluffy, dry 'soil' that I compile in a rubbermaid container, but, need to figure out how to use it in the garden without the dogs getting into it, though! :) The first batch I threw into the garden, they hoovered up. The unit looks to be great quality, and is 'good looking'. It is wayyy more quiet than I had expected, and love that very much, so it can run any time of day and not interfere with watching teevee, etc. I had a small concern when the bucket didn't just slide in easily, as it had the first two times, so e-mailed customer service, to make sure there was nothing amiss, and received a reply very quickly. It was friendly and helpful. Was very impressed with this - thank you! Instruction booklet is great - clear, helpful. I like the larger capacity bucket, compared to some others, and the price point. Well worth the investment!! 10/10 would recommend this composter, and look forward to its continued use at limiting our garbage output (we live rural, so having an outdoor composter isn't ideal with wildlife, never mind the effort and overall time it takes for it to break down), and we also have to take our garbage to the dump, so having less garbage to deal with/pay for is great).

It is amazing to me how well this product works. First of all it’s VERY quiet. You hardly notice it (I was sitting nearby). I had started it in the evening and when I got up the next morning it was done crushing. The consistency of the end product was a bit coarse and a little stringy but it was dry and greatly reduced in size. I was very pleased. I had started out w/about the bucket being slightly more than half full of scraps and ended up w/less than 2 cups of “compost”. I have not yet tried the “ferment” cycle as I’m not yet in need of actual fertilizer. The only downside was the “earthy” smell as it was crushing the scraps. So I have moved the composter farther away from where I tend to sit and that will no longer be an issue. I think this product works very well and I’m very pleased with my purchase.
