One of the replacement sticks I received was faulty. The first step toward figuring that out was rebuilding the data and power traces, which had been damaged when I melted the original OEM joysticks during removal. The plastic fused to the board and tore out eyelets and traces when I tried to lift them off using a hot air gun. To fix the board, I worked directly with a professional in the seller's dedicated Discord. They take time to review people’s installs, give precision advice, and genuinely help everyone get the best possible results. With their guidance, I repaired the board and went through every possible cause of failure. Once it was clear the part itself was faulty, the seller immediately shipped me a new one. No hassle, no pushback, just real support. The working sticks feel great. Solid and responsive. Once I switched to a proper soldering iron instead of hot air, the rest of the install went smoothly. Very good and responsive from the get go, technically they don’t require calibration but I would still recommend it. DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU’RE NEW TO SOLDERING. I bought this as a fist soldering experience and maaaaan, it was not easy, practice on something easier or can easily say bye to, this controller had a horrible stick drift so I felt fine sacrificing it for the experience, make sure you’re careful if you’re using a heat gun as there are a few components around the area where the joystick attaches to the pcb and you can easily desolder them if not careful, Don’t be shy with Flux way better to have too much flux can cleans off easily than a burnt pcb or trace. Overall quality is great, and I much prefer the black joysticks it comes with than the OM red ones on this controller. Product quality 10/10 difficulty of installation 7.5/10

These are awesome, just drop them in to a stock controller and fix your stick drift. The hardest part is removing the old sticks without a removal tool, so I used the disassembly method on youtube to cut the old sticks into parts. After calibration, they were dead center every time (which I've never seen with the original sticks) and I've had no interference with triggers at all. The tension and linearity of the sticks feel good, the only issue is the click on these are softer than the original sticks, but not so much that you would accidentally click them.

You will need proper soldering equipment and the equipment to desolder as well. Don't try this with basic tools, you will probably not have great luck. So far these modules have totally eliminated stick drift in my old controller and work perfectly! I have seen other reviewers mention minor problems, so I'm a little weary about long term life, but in my experience, I haven't seen any issues at all.

I have done tons of ps5 joystick repairs with trms from AKNES and they’ve been fine. But I got a 4 pack of xbox series ones and tried fixing one of my Xbox controllers with them and it seemed like all 4 are so out of calibration that I can’t even use the calibration tool on the Xbox or on windows. It doesn’t even register feedback on gamepass tester it just flips from top right corner to top left on its own and nothing I do can’t change it. I have desoldered and resoldered many times and still same results. It might be because I replaced both but I need to anyway and it’s not working. I’ve done tons of ps5 controllers no problems. Idk if I’m not doing something right but it seems like there is something wrong with Xbox joysticks in general from AKNES.

These are super accurate upon calibration. Really smooth motion when going around in a circle. Using these actually made a noticeable improvement in my COD k/d ratio. I found using a low temp solder and solder wick is the easiest way to get the old sticks out. I think replacing worn out joysticks with these is a no-brainer. The included thumb sticks fit tight on the joystick and are copies of the series model originals. I have only praise for these at this time.

I’ll preface this with the point that I’m a certified DC electronics technician and have reaped many things. Even after cleaning up the solder pads and opening up the mounting points, I had a SUPER hard time getting these to fit into the socket. Ended up ruining once side of the controller and I will have to do some micro soldering to repair. The repair joysticks are a SUPER tight fit on the board, and it is very hard to get them in. Steer clear unless you have some good repair experience. The part seems to work fine, but 2 stars for how bad a fit it is. Higley difficult to repair as a result. Can’t speak to the longevity of the parts because it ended up being cheaper to buy a new controller than do the micro solder job.

These TMR sticks have saved our two controllers from the landfill! Of course you may require some experience with electronic repairs beforehand, but it's a fairly simple beginner project. After installation, the setup is already done, stick calibration was already on point and so far, after 4 months of continuous use playing Mortal Kombat, these replacements have beat Xbox's stick drift by miles with just a 3% deadzone

Im Lieferumfang sind die Sticks und zwei caps. Der Austausch ist einfach wenn man etwas Ahnung hat. Danach funktioniert die sticks super und sogar ohne Kalibrierung.

These are absolutely brilliant...... but getting the old ones out clean is a task due to 14 solder points.

These joysticks are amazing. I wish they were in stock and stayed in stock. I repair controllers for a side hustle and have had great experience with these. They defeat drift and provide a great gaming experience. Please bring these back into stock.
