The band was a perfect fit for my S4 Garmin approach GPS golf watch. It's design should be more sturdy than the original as only the middle line of holes is perforated all the way through. The outside lines of holes in the original that went all the way through was the site of failure for the original. The new band is softer. Whether the non-perforated design is hotter on the skin and the softer material will be as sturdy, time will tell. There are no directions for changing the pin, but it is pretty straightforward with a few hints for easy removal for the old pin. There are two spline screw drivers, engage both at the same time at each side of the pins, hold one and turn the other counter-clockwise. As you continue to unscrew the pin push on it so the other side starts to protrude out. When you have completed unscrewing the pin screw, it should come off and you can pull the pin out from the other side. My pin was stuck so it required some extra effort to pull out. Unscrew one of the pin screws from the replacement pin, insert and reverse the procedure. Good luck.

Worked well no issues

This is a good replacement product if your band has worn out. Don’t expect it to be as sturdy and comfortable as the original brand, but it is adequate. It will begin to crack at some point where the strap locks down. At this price, however you can afford to replace it before it breaks again.

Perfect for my S2 with broken band. Came with tools too.

The strap keeper was the first to go. Next, the holes that catch the tang stripped out down the middle and I thought my trusty Garmin S2 was done. The electronics were fine, but the band was shot. Now mind you it took six or seven years to break, but it did and I was ready to buy a newer model. I pulled up Amazon and when I entered Garmin, one of the options was replacement strap! Okay, what do they have? A strap that comes with two tiny ass torx wrenches that fit the screws on the S2! And they’re going to deliver it to my house for $9 or $10 total! Beats paying $200 for a new unit so I did it. Showed up in a couple of days, torx wrenches fit and I reused the original attachment screws, even though they gave me a new set of those too. Takes five minutes and you’re done. Slick as can be and I already played a round with it, super comfortable. Battery could die next week, but if it keeps working for another year, I just won with this strap.
