This portable ssd is very fast and is the size of a usb flash drive. It runs a little warm but never gets too hot to touch.

It runs really hot when transferring files and speeds drop dramatically after 10GB of transfer. Continues to slow down once it gets hot. Audio and video are not in sync when playing video files directly from it. Ultimately I returned it. Could be good for backups and infrequent use, but was not robust enough for regular high speed transfer and use with large files.

Love this thing so much! Because it’s bright pink it’s differentiated and when I accidentally left it at a FedEx office it was easy to retrieve. Terabyte is amazing for the price and the dual USBANC connections have been really helpful.

2TB USB-c version. Gets warm during basic file transfers. Not hot, but warm. That is not a real concern. The problem is that after using it for 15 months, it is not always recognized by the computer. I use it on several computers with the same results. I have tried plugging it in and out. Also tried a different port. Tried test and correct any errors. Even tried various USB-c to USB-a adapters. It is very random. I can not trust this drive. It should last more than 15 months of light use. Zero durability in my opinion.

I've found that it won't run any heavy games, or it's gets hot and disconnects. Also gets hot when left plugged in but not in use. Not noticed any memory issues, Good for storage, not for games.

Had bought this product thinking it's performance would be similar to the Transcend JetFlash series of 512GB USB flash drives, but was disgusted by its performance. Absolute waste of money. Significant overheating issues that throttle the write speeds down to 10-15 MBps after beginning with speeds in excess of 350 MBps for the first 10-15 GB, when transferring data in blocks of 100 GB, with file-sizes greater than 1 GB. The lower priced Amazon Basics 1TB SSDs are much more reliable performers delivering sustained throughtputs of 300+ MBps under the same use case. Even Transcend's JetFlash USB drives deliver sustained write speeds of 100+ MBps. Avoid buying at any cost.
