Amethyst Ball Manual Automatic Gear Shift Knobs

Has metal threads in the knob and the adapters are metal. I read there were issues with others stating the threads were not adhering or the metal would come out of the knob. Since a high end knob is over $50 and this was less than $20, I figured I'd just use light duty thread locker (blue). I used on both the threads in the knob and the adapter on to the shifter. I torqued the knob onto the shifter with what felt like tight. It may have worked well without the thread locker but why not, eh? All of that being said, it looks great and seems to work as advertised. I would buy again.

Fitment should be fine. Quality of insert bond to ball looks superior. Additional fittings for different thread type. One imperfection on the exterior plastic that appears as a gouge or divot.

It looks fantastic. I slightly modified it, so that it threads onto my application further, I sealed it with epoxy, and it should last me forever and a day. It's on my Harley's suicide shifter lever.

This product was terrible, no one buy this. It did not screw in to my car properly. The screw fit but once I would screw it in the gold part inside came back out, it was not glued in well so it kept coming out every time I tried to tighten it.

It looks great but doesn't fit the Volkswagen Beetle shift column properly. It is the right diameter (so the adapters won't work), but the threads are not the same cut so it will only screw on a couple of turns before it binds. Not enough turns to feel comfortable that it will stay put. I see someone else commented that they "modified" it so it will screw on farther - Not sure what he did but it might be worth a try since it looks so cool and was less than $20. Just so you know . . . .

Very easy! And a fantastic color. I’m glad that there were different options for threads just in case it didn’t fit!!
