I bought this as a gift for my son and friends to use on the beach. I was so impressed, I bought another one for myself. This set folds up easily into a compact zipper carrying back that takes up very little room. As recommended by another reviewer, I purchased a fire-safe mat to go underneath the fire pit so I can use it on my wood deck without worrying about stray embers. Set up and breakdown is surprisingly fast and easy. Pro tip (from another reviewer): hang opposite corners of the heat shield first. Best of all, the 40" square fire pit mat (not-included) fits perfectly inside the collapsed frame in the bag. The only thing that would make this product better is if it came with the fire pit mat. For $20, it makes this portable fire pit suitable for use almost anywhere outdoors. RECOMMENDED

Fire pit worked great. Grate is a little thin but held up with a decent fire. Very sturdy. I did return it because the bag ripped. We will see how the next one is but I give 5 star for the pit itself

Small and poorly made. I expected it to be small but, once you get it in front of you it seems even smaller than the measurements.

Picked this up before heading out for some camping and caving. I ended up trying it out a few days before leaving and was so happy that we had a fire every night before leaving! The standing design with an ash catch underneath will keep the ground safe while letting you keep your fire roaring! Everything fits in the small bag and can be set up in under a minute!

This product is perfect for those campsites that don't have a fire ring. It is very portable, packs up to the size of a large shoebox. Very easy to assemble and the ash catcher works great. If you let it cool you can easily empty the ashes and fold up the fire pit in the morning. The only concern I have is the grate that supports the logs could be damaged from the heat generated by the fire. But I have had a size 10 Dutch oven on it and at least a dozen substantial fires. It looks to be constructed well. I would buy another one tomorrow.

This little pit burns big loads well! It is easy to assemble and comes in this cute little carrying bag. The under carriage catches all the ashes, making it easy to dump.

Absolutely amazing! The portability and the ease of use are a 10 out of 10 for sure!!! I bought this to use in a friend's backyard during the summer time this year and it was one of the best purchases I made all summer! We were we able to enjoy a beautiful fire on summer nights and soak in that beautiful camp fire smell and enjoy a great time of hanging out! I would just say, If you are planning on using this on grass, then you may want to consider purchasing a fire resistant / proof mat so that you don't singe the perfectly green grass underneath 😅. All in all, it is a phenomenal purchase and I've already recommended it to several friends. One of which who has already purchased it and used it as much as I have.

First off, the fire pit is relatively small. Don't just go by the pictures in the product description, check out the dimensions. The fire pit is very much portable. It comes in its own carrying bag and set-up does not take long. It can be assembled in minutes. The first assembly took a bit longer just to get acquainted with the orientation and what goes where. The assembly instructions are conveniently attached to the inside of the bag so there is no need to worry about loose paper or a separate manual. The unit is very lightweight and easy to transport in the convenient carry bag. There are aluminum baffles at the top acting as a windbreak around the perimeter. There is also a heat shield near the bottom which will collect any residual ashes. Given that your fire is elevated, this makes a perfect backyard fire pit with no worry about ruining your grass. The stainless steel fire net is a three piece integrated and foldable unit which is where your fire will actually burn. The entire assembly sits on a high density stainless steel base. If you have been wanting a small fire pit but holding back due to concerns about damaging your lawn area, look no further than this portable unit for convenience. The best thing about it is that it is not a permanent structure and when you are done with it, just do a bit of clean-up and store it until next time. Also, take note that no tools of any kind are required for assembly. It is a fully self-contained unit.

This is like the more well known pop-up pit which you can find many video reviews of online, with a couple of differences. First, the bottom of this features a walled heat shield which helps collect ashes whereas other products have an elevated heat protector mat without walls. Second, the fire mesh is not actually a fire mesh on this set, but 3 stainless steel racks held together with some metal rings. This will also allow some ash to pass through compared to a fine fire mesh. The combo rack sits nicely flat on top of the wind shield pieces. I'm so amazed by how easy this is to set up. It's a 1-minute job. It might take a bit longer to take it apart and pack it up but all the parts pack nicely into a portable sized bag. It's just a bit finicky to get everything in. The corners are quite sharp so I make sure I'm careful when touching it. It's larger than barbecue charcoal grills and a good size for burning logs. Though we plan to use it for charcoal barbecue as well after the freezing season. That will require us to get a barbecue rack and there are a few different options, the easiest being using a barbecue rack larger than 17" on at least one side. Note though this is not a smokeless fire pit. This fire pit came with some minor marks on the metal but nothing to suggest it's been used. I expect some parts coming into contact with fire to blacken but it should still be fully usable for years to satisfy our occasional needs.

This portable fire pit is surprisingly light and very easy to assemble. The quality of the materials appear to be very good however, please note that the metal windshields can be a bit sharp on the edges. The clean up is also very easy as you simply need to just pour out the ash that catches in the fireproof touch bag. Taking everything apart and putting it away is also very easy. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight but practical fire pit for when you go camping or doing day trips. I believe this is extremely good value for the cost. The way this unit becomes so small once packed is way superior over the larger fire pits that just take up room in the back of your car.
