NEWGO Reusable Gel Ice Pack Wrap for Knee Replacement Surgery, Black

Purchased after comparing with others for icing my knee joint after replacement surgery. It's potential to wrap tightly around the knee and provide "cold" behind the knee were the selling points. Instructions are very clear, and fitting whilst seated is the better position as standing brings in gravity. Remove from freezer compartment of fridge where it fits snugly in the ice maker draw. Remove from bag, if it's been in the freezer for a long period allow it to thaw slightly as the gel is less flexible. Wrap around the long straps first and tighten, the Y-yoke second. Raise leg onto support and allow the magic of ice to work. On warm days the cold effect lasts about 20 minutes, which for me is perfect. It is reversible. A fabric side allows safe contact next to the skin and non-material side allows better "cold" effect if wearing anti-thrombosis stockings or similar. The straps are velcro'd, well stitched and long enough to wrap around the largest knee. I fully endorse this product.

It is the first time I have used a cold compress and was not sure what to expect. I got them because I have just had replacement knee surgery and I expected there wouldn't be swelling I was not wrong. They take a little while to get really cold. I bought a twin pack so that one could be cooling while using the other this wasn't really necessary as you should not leave then on to long and there would have been time to cool it before the next use. In use they fit well and the long velcro straps allow to achieve a good bit of compression. I was expecting it to be very cold when applied but with plush inner lining that was not the case and found them very comfortable. In fact so comfortable that you can forget to remove them at the allotted time. I certainly liked these items and thought they were value for money.

Good and effective but when frozen doesn't wrap to close to the knee. I'm recovering from knee replacement and I've used it 3 or 4 times a day for ,,,9 weeks now and it's worked well.

Its great and I find it very helpful due to having a knee replacement. However does not seem to get as cold as I expected it too .

Great quality item and ideal for after a knee replacement. It stays nice and cold and fixes securely around the knee. I bought 2 together so I always have one ready to go if needed. Short chill time too. Recommended 👍

Bought these after total knee replacement. I had a full leg one from the hospital but used this once this had become ineffective. Worked well and is not too cold or uncomfortable with the padding. Also used it on my ankle to reduce swelling, with the long straps it stays in place. A good product. I would have given it five stars if it covered more of the leg.

This is the best thing I could have bought for my knee. Its a great design. the straps and velcro are excellent. the cloth side stays nice and dry and not clammy. After you have cooled enough you can flip it over and get even colder relief. I love the design so you can choose which side the cold flap wraps around. It is actually so good that I walk around the house with it on and it doesn't shift. I would buy again. I might get a second for my other knee.

I use it as a cold compress and works really well. Since it wraps around with a velcro system, there are no issues with its size unlike those that work like a sleeve. Hoping that the elasticity of the straps last long.

Have a torn meniscus and suffer knee pain. Bought this product and love the fact you can either place in freezer and create ice pack or put in microwave and create heat wrap. Find it helpful in bringing relief from pain.

I bought these ice packs for after my knee surgery and they were a lifesaver. It Velcro is insanely good quality. The strap are long enough to fit comfortably around my knee. I purchased the two pack so I could have one one while the other was freezing. They stayed in place when I had to move around and didn’t have any scent at all just ice smell. I still use these packs for my back and shoulders. Highly recommend.
