Review: Smooth Dewy Look - I'm a professional Makeup Artist and this is a great primer for the dewy look. I wouldn't recommend it for matte but for a glowy dewy look it provides a smooth blended texture. If you want satin you might be able to achieve that with adding powder after the primer but I've never tried that since I stick with dewy. I had been searching for some time for a natural alternative for my skin because as an artist I have to wear makeup almost everyday and I didn't want to keep putting chemicals on my face everyday. I prefer the dewy look on myself and this works great for that and having clean ingredients on my skin. I don't use primers as moisturizers. That's not what they are so that's not their specialty unless the product states that it's a 2-in-1 of a moisturizer and a primer. Otherwise all primers are only that; a primer, not a moisturizer. So I moisturize, allow my moisturizer to absorb into my skin for a few minutes and then apply the primer right before foundation and/or concealer. I cannot use normal primers because they burn my skin and make it look red and actually old...
