As someone who has used a lot of mice from Logitech G Pro Superlight, G502x, Pulsar's X2 and X2H and the Glorious Model O V1 and V2 and Glorious Forge series. Sometimes you just want something simple and effective and this mouse from 8BitDo does that. Although it may not be the most ergonomic mouse it feels comfortable to use. The side buttons are a little bit odd because they are so small but once you get used to it that problem goes away. The best part of this mouse is the charging dock. The magnets to the base are strong. It has a spot for the 2.4ghz adaptor so you just plug it into the dock and then the included USB C to A cable into your PC and you have both charging and connection in one. It is really well thought out. The fact you can swap between 2.4ghz to Bluetooth makes this mouse even better. As you can use it for your gaming PC and then use the same mouse for when you are working from home. It has done a great job of simplifying my peripherals. In regards to competitive gaming I have not noticed any difference in my first person shooting performance when using the Retro R8 mouse to some of the more competitive focused mice.
