Cool
Cool and fun decks for a decent price. I built commanders for both though they aren't super strong

A good introduction to Magic: The Gathering, especially for Final Fantasy fans.
I'll say right now that you won't be able to build a competitive deck with just the cards in this Starter Kit, even with multiple boxes. Having said that, Magic Starter Kits are always good products, especially for beginners but also for just kick-starting the collection of the associated set. This one comes with a decent number of good cards that can be used in other decks you might build, and the two decks included make for an engaging beginner-level experience. Not only do you get the two decks and starter-rulebook, you also get a two token cards apiece per deck to go with their mechanics, and also, two codes that can be used to redeem *both* decks in the game's digital client, Magic Arena. Only one code can be used per Wizards of the Coast account, so the second code is meant to be given to a friend or family member so you can play Arena together. So that's a nice bonus! (Also, it will save you wildcards and booster pulls on whichever small handful of cards in this set you might want for your own Arena decks.) Anyway, I quite like this starter set, and, metagame-destroying nature of the Vivi card aside, I love the Final Fantasy set as a whole. You could do worse for a starting point for sure!

Two standard decks. Nothing more.
Wish it came with a couple of boosters to get things progressed, but WOTC knows best, right?

Decent for the price
This a great starting point for learning the base game. It needs more cards to be able to play as a commander deck but it is a great start. It was new and has the potential to start 2 different decks.

Great Product! Gamer Approved!
An awesome crossover product โ perfect for fans of Final Fantasy looking to get into Magic or vice versa. The decks are well-balanced, fun to play right out of the box, and packed with flavorful references and iconic characters. Great art, solid mechanics, and surprisingly good value for a starter set. Easy 5/5 if you're a fan of either franchise.

Great crossover for fans and beginners, though not tournament-level
โญโญโญโญโ Great crossover for fans and beginners, though not tournament-level I picked up the MTG x Final Fantasy Starter Kit to try out the new crossover and to have something fun to play with friends. It mostly delivers: the art, theme, and value are excellent. If you want a serious competitive deck, youโll need to upgrade, but as a starting point and collectible, this is strong. โ Pros Fantastic theme & fan appeal: The Final Fantasy flavor is strongโiconic characters (Cloud vs. Sephiroth), art, and vibe are great. If you like FF, this feels like it was made for you. yeahnahgaming.co.nz +2 ONE Esports +2 Good beginner-friendly product: Everything you need to start playing is in the box: two 60-card decks, deck boxes, a play guide, tokens, and MTG Arena codes. Makes learning easier. Amazon +2 Card Game Base +2 Solid price: For what you get, the MSRP is very reasonable. Compared to booster packs or bundles, this feels like one of the best ways to get into the set without breaking the bank. Card Game Base +1 Quality cards & exclusivity: One of the decks includes a foil mythic rare legendary, and there are new cards exclusive to the set. Gives collectors something to care about. Amazon +2 Card Game Base +2 Balanced play: The two decks (Cloudโs deck & Sephirothโs deck) offer different styles (one more aggressive/equipment-oriented; the other more controlling), which makes for interesting matchups and helps new players see different strategies. Card Game Base +1 โ Cons Not for high-level competitive play out of the box: The decks are fine for casual or introductory play, but they arenโt optimized for tournament usage. Youโll likely need to add better lands, removals, or other staples. Reddit +1 Limited durability of components: The included cardboard deck boxes are serviceable, but if you're going to sleeve cards or play often, they may not hold up long. Card Game Base Fixed contents: Since all starter kits are non-randomized, what you see is what you get. No chance for surprise pulls or chasing rares in that particular product. Card Game Base Demand / price surge: Due to popularity, prices are inflated in many places. If you find it for MSRP, great; over that, the value drops. Polygon +2 Reddit +2 ๐งพ Final Verdict If youโre a Final Fantasy fan curious about Magic: The Gathering, or a new player looking for an accessible entry, this Starter Kit is one of the best crossover/NFT-free starter products recently released. It's fun, thematic, and gives good value for casual play and collecting. Just donโt expect it to dominate in tournament play without upgrades.

Good and Cheap - I wish more of MTG were like this
Good. Simple. Inexpensive (About 13$ USD). Itโs a good way to learn to play the game.

Poor Packaging
Product is good as expected, but the packaging was so poor that the box are destroyed. I wanted to gift this to someone but I decided not to since it is not presentable anymore.

2 good decks for an affordable price
Honestly I dont see how you can go wrong by buying exactly this if you are new to magic like me. you get a code for MTGarena for two free decks from this (online magic the gathering) AND you get two decks that are very viable in the current game. im happy with this.
