I watched both this Tormek and another cheaper tool on YouTube. This seemed much easier to use, and so it proved to be, although it was more expensive. It took two shallow ( about.1mm ) passes to achieve a flat, round stone. It’s now the best it’s ever been. It’s expensive for a tool that wii be used infrequently but there’s no alternative. The side that screws to the cross bar has a wedge shaped hole and locks firmly into place. There is no play in the thread but a little in cutter holder and it does vibrate if you don’t take it slowly. Overall I recommend. Review: Had to spend an extra $20 to get this amazing tormek dressing tool to fit. Worth every penny! There's a "hook" on the jig that is supposed to be braced against the left support post of the tool bar. If you do that, as others point out, the jig will only reach about 3/4 of the way across the stone. My plan had been to 3D print an extension. However, if you tighten the lock pretty hard, it works fine. I may still eventually 3D print something to lock it in place but my initial pass with it got the stone true enough. **Q: I have the wen 4270 grinder. will this dresser work on this particular setup?** A: No it will not. Tried it and the dressing tool only goes about 3/4 of the way across the stone before it maxes out. So unfortunately - no - it will not work. **Q: Will this work on the WEN 4270 wet dry stone?** A: If the Wen bars are the same as the Tormek the yes.
